Snoop Dogg

Yes We Cannabis!

10/27/2010 1:00 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

How do you think Snoop Dogg feels about the upcoming vote to legalize weed in California??
Do we really have to answer that ...

Snoop was out in L.A. earlier this week -- and even though the election isn't until next week -- Snoop told us he already cast his vote.

Who says potheads lack motivation?

Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants

Patent 6630507 Issued on October 7, 2003.

The United States of America as represented by the Department of Health and Human Services

No. 09/674028 filed on 02/02/2001

Cannabinoids have been found to have antioxidant properties, unrelated to NMDA receptor antagonism. This new found property makes cannabinoids useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of wide variety of oxidation associated diseases, such as ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. The cannabinoids are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants, for example in limiting neurological
damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke and trauma, or in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and HIV dementia. Nonpsychoactive cannabinoids, such as cannabidoil, are particularly advantageous to use because they avoid toxicity that is encountered with psychoactive cannabinoids at high doses useful in the method of the present invention. A particular disclosed class of cannabinoids useful as neuroprotective antioxidants
is formula (I) wherein the R group is independently selected from the group consisting of H, CH3, and COCH3.

the "toxicity" they mention is the "getting high" part of cannabis... and nothing to do with actual therapeutic ratio. (what is required to overdose).

One cannot overdose on cannabis.

It does not cause schizophrenia. It helps to cure disease and hemp is the most useful material on earth.

Hopefully prop 19 will pass. However, it isn't looking likely at the moment. Prohibition of alcohol didn't work when tried from 1920 to 1933 and it doesn't work for marijuana now. Make it legal and you'll see a decline in its use for recreational purposes. In Amsterdam, where marijuana is for all intents and purposes legal, marijuana usage among teens dropped to next to nothing. You want it legalized? Get out and vote!

There is no reason why we need more accessibillity to pot in Cali. We have too much "medical-legal" pot and no matter what BOTH "medical" and Prop. 19 pot would be illegal under federal law. Bad idea to have something on your voting record that goes against the federal government of the United States. No on 19.

You're voting no on prop 19 because you're afraid of the federal government? And you don't see a problem with that way of thinking?
