Chilean Miner Completes NYC Marathon

He began the race at 9:40am and had completed it by 3:30pm--that is less than 5 hours. Looks like someone transposed some numbers. Two other news outlets are reporting 4 hours and 50 minutes.

Regardless of his time, though, congratulations to Edison!!

A man went to work in a foreign country and an accident happened. The U.S. media goes crazy.

A man goes to work in the United States of America and an accident happens (happens daily) and NO ONE CARES.

Just saying.....

Ok, lets use our fingers here kiddies to count how long it took

9:40-10:40 thats one
10:40-11:40 thats two
11:40-12:40 that three
12:40-1:40 thats four
1:40-2:40 thats five
2:40-3:40 thats six, but he arrived at 3:30 (10 minutes early) so thats 5 fingers and most of another, or 5 hours and 50 minutes.
So whoever is reporting 4 hours and 50 minutes should be locked away in a mine for 70 days and made to count the minutes they are there.

Someone needs remedial math! 09:40 to 15:30 (3:30 pm) is EXACTLTY 5 hours AND 50 minutes (just 10 minutes UNDER 6 (not 5) hours.

Soulofanangel needs a little more soul. The guy has become a symbol for man's perseverance. It's not just about him. As far as the accident that happens to a man in the U.S., his family, friends, and community may care deeply.

The guy deserves all this attention. He was a miner and after that accident all the miners knew that they would probably die. But it is remarkable about this guy is his strength and his determination to survive and the way he did it. He is teaching us a life lesson and it is there for whoever wants to seize it. This is a very inspiring story. Normally what the media reports make us sick and this is a feel good story for me and an example. It does not matter to me what he does next with his life I think there is something to learn from this experience.

Edison Peña is a Great Chilean. I'm proud of being a Chilean, too. His strength is admirable.

Whoo Hoo WAY to Go !!! Anyone know if he will get a meet and greet with Priscilla or Lisa Marie? I know they are not hands on all the time anymore there, I just think it would be very cool if one or both of them took him on a private tour of the estate.
