Waka Flocka Surrenders

'He Didn't Wanna Run'

1/3/2011 9:00 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Rapper Waka Flocka turned himself in to authorities today on gun, drug, and gang-related charges -- because according to his mother, "He didn't want to run."

0103_waka_flaka_mug_exd
The Henry County Sheriff's Department tells TMZ ... Waka was booked for multiple charges including:

-- Possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce
-- Possession of firearm by convicted felon
-- Possession of hydrocodone
-- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
-- Violation of probation for driving on a suspended license
-- Violating Georgia's "Criminal Street Gang and Terror Prevention Act"

The rapper's mother tells TMZ, Waka surrendered on his own this afternoon "because he wanted to do the right thing and didn't want to run."

As we first reported, cops hit Waka's home on December 16 -- and after confiscating all sorts of illegal items, issued an arrest warrant for Waka ... who wasn't home at the time.

Waka's being held on $31,950 bond -- and a hearing is set for tomorrow.

UPDATE: Waka was released on $31,950 bond Wednesday afternoon.

I get it Harvey, you get great pleasure in running stories about s***-of-the-earth black rappers whose vocabularies extend only so far as the self-hating N-word. But RARELY is there an article about the millions of black entertainers who DON'T have criminal records, who CAN speak English properly and who DON'T call themselves and every other black person "******s". I honestly can't undertand why a man as intelligentr as Charles continues to work for your RACIST, RUNTY JEW ASS.

Comment #33 by Fedro:

You can state all the statistics you want(with no quoted sources) but your original comment gave the premise that because this rapper was arrested, his album sales will go up due to the black youth. Comment #30 just pointed out that the majority of albums sales are credit to a white populous. Your statistics(again, no sources) does not change that.

Me personally:

Rock and Rap both have drug issues. Sex, drugs and Rock N Roll is even a popular motto. Rockers use more drugs and Rappers are more likely to sell it. Who's worst the dealer or the users is always a tricky question.

We need to question how these drugs get into our countries. I'm afraid that the biggest drug pusher is our own governments.

@Mars #54: And if the ONLY problem with rap and rappers was the presence of drugs, your point would be valid. But you conveniently overlook the all-consuming degradation of the black race that is present in rap kusic. The demeaning of the black race is the very staple of rap music. Because of its influence, I defy you to walk the street of NY (or any urban community) and find a single black male (and increasingly females) with the capacity or intellect to refer to themselves by any word other than n***er. Rap is a disease that is a pandemic to an entire generation fo black youth -- a disease that destroys the remaining brain cells of an already intellectually debilitated race.

@Roddy Fame: What would happen if your life depended on your ability to successfully complete a fourth-grade-level sentence? Never mind, I think we all know someone would be planning your wake even as we speak. An entire race of black males who can neither speak nor write in simple sentences. Frederick Douglass would be so proud.

I truly hate to see African American men act this way. Thankfully I had parents to guide me in the right direction so I wouldn't turn up like this. To think when I was younger I wanted to run the streets and so forth. Luckily I listened and served my country through the military and actually did something constructive with my life. People trust me when I say, "WE" are all not like this. I just wish they would display many of the positive AA men in life rather than this, so that people (The majority of the comments above) would understand that people like Wacka Flacka does not represent the ENTIRE race.

You people are so racists I swear! Hell no nothing is wrong with the BLACK community, something is wrong with this world as a whole! WHITE BLACK MEXICAN ASIAN WHTEVER!! Thugs and wannabes are in every race, and every race gets in trouble and causes trouble. Turn on the TV and look at the news idiots. AND JUST THOUGHT I'D SAY THAT YEA WAKA JUST MIGHT SELL MORE RECORDS DUE TO THIS, BUT NOT BECAUSE MORE BLACKS WILL BUY HIS ALBUM DUE TO THE LEGAL SITUATION HE HAS, MORE WHITES WILL BUY IF ANYHTING BECAUSE THEY WANT TO BE JUST LIKE HIM SO THEY BUY THE RECORD TO GET POINTERS, LMAO. (THE WANNABE'S) HONESTLY MOST BLACKS WONT BUY HIS ALBUM LEGITIMATELY, IF WE REALLY WANTED IT WE'D PROBABLY BUY BOOTLEG. (SAD, BUT TRUE!). GET OFF YOUR RACISTS KICKS AND GET OVER IT. FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO NAG ABOUT, IM SURE YOU WILL.
