2/2/2011 3:55 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Not to be outdone by Anderson Cooper, ABC News reporter Christiane Amanpour just filed a report claiming she too was attacked by an angry mob in Egypt.

Christiane Amanpour Attacked

Amanpour claims, "An angry mob surrounded us and chased us into the car shouting that they hate America. They kicked in the car doors and broke our windshield as we drove away."

As we previously reported, Anderson Cooper claims he was punched in the head by members of a violent pro-Mubarak mob early this morning.

Katie Couric was also roughed up during a live shot from Cairo.

Yeh and guess what they should hate America. Our government supports that dictator they have. The CIA has been manipulating their government for decades. When Iraqis and other middle easterners say they hate America they have a legit reason. We're occupying their lands and manipulation their governments and putting dictators into power and have been doing so for decades and refuse to leave or stop.

Who do these "journalists" think they are fooling. One says they get attacked, and then another does. It's like kids on the playground, but in this case, say anything to get a story.

If you are in favor of the beating of U.S. reporters, you are un-American. Please go to the nearest airport and leave. the borders are open. Use them. Go to Pakistan, or Iran. someplace you will feel comfortable. Just go away.

Don't think they should go into the middle of the fracas with fists flying and rocks hurling. They should be there to report, but maybe from a roof top somewhere.

Good! Maybe this will finally knock some sense into the whole lot of you, but knowing liberals as I do I doubt it. It would probably take a public beheading of one of your loved ones.

You people are insane. I think all y'all take for granted what happens in order for you to have open access to world news.

My name is JP Mackley and I was Head of the Foreign Press Bureau (FPB)in Zagreb Croatia during the Balkan Wars--hired by Mara Letica, a Croatian expat from the Letica Corporation in Michigan. My life was constantly on the line--that was the job. Amanpour is an opportunist, a wannabe war reporter and more concerned always with celebrity status than with reportage. She married the spokesperson for State because it furthered her career. Now, as she ages, she's worried ....How many journalists have dies covering wars in unstable areas? Does she think her celebrity status warrants exceptional protection?
