The Scene of Lindsay Lohan's Alleged Crime

2/2/2011 4:33 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Kamofie & Company is the Venice, CA jewelry store from which Lindsay Lohan allegedly shoplifted ... TMZ has learned.

Kamofie & Company, Venice, CA
As TMZ reported, the store's owner gave cops surveillance tape of Lindsay wearing the necklace in question.  The owner also gave cops a photo of Lindsay wearing the one-of-a-kind, $2,500 necklace a week later.

Sources say Lindsay has frequented the store since moving to Venice.

And, as we first reported, the L.A. County District Attorney will get the case today for its review, and one source closely connected with the case says charges are "likely."

gimmeabreak- I know one-of-a-kind pieces in Santa Monica for $300- what does the price have to do with anything? Your argument makes no sense.

OMG- I don't believe that there are people blaming the store owner for trying to get their property back! Geeze. What if it were Jane Doe who stole the necklace, would you believe the owner then? Are you going to take the word of a celeb, on probation with a history of "forgetting" to return things??? Why, just because she is a celeb, that means she can't lie or steal?

And someone commented that a necklace couldn't sell for $2500 in Venice. They are not talking about the boardwalk, they are talking about a more upscale area. There's more to Venice than the boardwalk and cheap bargains.

therock- if the store owner is lying then LL should produce a receipt showing that she purchased the necklace. oh yeah- TMZ reported that her "stylist" returned the necklace to the police station. why would she do that if she purchased it????
