He was arrested for raping a girl in Colorado.

Most arrests come from the logic of probable cause. The police and detectives investigated the incident and then arrested him based on the information they had at the time. Arrested, with a mug shot, charged and bonded out of jail. These are facts.

Someone made a substantial payment and he is free to resume his silly basketball career. Most other guys that raped girls are forced to stand trial and are usually found guilty and sentenced to huge lenghts in prison. But not Kobe.

Heres the deal, she was raped. She was offered a ton of cash and decided that at the end of the day, "do I want to be a poor victim or a rich victim?" She chose the cash. I may have too if the number was right. Obviously Kobe's team had the right number.

There are thousands of other professional atheletes one could homor and worship rather than this rapist. Thousands of players go their entire careers blemish free without any accusations of misconduct, but like society there are the 1-2% that refuse to play by the rules.

Kobe Bryant was arrested and charged with rape. I would tend to believe a group of skilled detectives than an uneducated basketball player with a blank checkbook.
