Academy Award nominee and legendary street artist Banksy continued his Southern California graffiti spree last night ... this time, leaving his signature rat character on a taco shop in San Diego.

Banksy Graffiti
As we previously reported, the mysterious artist -- whose documentary "Exit Through the Gift Shop" is up for Best Documentary -- had been tagging up various spots in L.A. over the past few weeks.

A real good guy. Defacing private property. I am pretty sure the restaurant doesn't want a freakin' rat on the side of the building.
******* is getting to big for his tight britches. Jerk.

You're pretty sure the restaurant owner dosen't wanat a freakin' rat on his building! Look into it a bit more buddy. That rat is gonna turn over thousands of dollars worth of "taco" sales over the next month. Not to mention the fact that someone would pay upwards of 50K to take that chunk of wall.

know what's up before you try and talk.

Looks like Bansky for sure. But for the sake of copycats and the 2 things in this being very easy to duplicate (Stencil and DVD Cover of "Exit Through the Gift Shop) I want the confirmation on Banksys website. I hope it is indeed Banksy, it'll give me a reason to head down to San Diego this weekend.

I hope it's not Roberto's. Roberto's is already classic San Diego, and doesn't need something dumb on the sides of it's "small town" beach side taco shop walls.

Also, just to let everyone know, Banksy and several well-known contemporary artists did a show in San Diego last summer. Banksy's art was all over the streets of downtown. I wouldn't be surprised if he's spending time down here, considering:
He is a part of contemporary San Diego history.
San Diego makes Los Angeles look like a barbaric village full of angry rotting souls. They wish they could be so classy!

This **** is not ART when it is racist, what was Banksy thinking, hello??? We all know what the sign means and it's very sad Banksy did this. I know this place and they don't serve rat taco's, hope you are hit with a lawsuit my friend. Very dissapointed with you.

This crap isn't art. It's vandalism. Why would a place that serves food want a rat on their building? Maybe if he criticized the place if they indeed had rats, then that would be making a statement OR better yet, just call the CDC on them. But, to randomly put graffiti around the city isn't right, especially if the business is struggling to get by. Let's see this schmuck go up against the multi-billionaire corporations...he will be in prison so fast.

I don't think this is in San Diego. I think this is Bull Taco is Oceanside. I gotta go down there and check it out.

Well, Kat...seeing as how you're engaged to a lying, cheating, racist, I guess you'd be an expert on racism, eh?

Great artist. Somebody please hire the man so he can stop defacing the town.

Like it or not people...Banksy is the Picasso of our time! This is not is art that will draw thousands of people to this 'nothing' hole in the wall and they should be kissing Banksy's ass!

Their real estate just went up 1000%...your welcome!
