Something about him has always reminded me of Eric Dane. I think it's their face shapes/jawlines. I googled them both to see what the age difference is, and they're the same age, almost to the day. Eric Dane looks much older!

Actually, phones have an airplane mode specifically for airplanes, so to tell him he HAS to turn his cellphone off is just plain wrong. If you pay for a phone with settings on it such as "airplane mode" then people on airplanes should take it up with the cell phone carrier, because this dude was just using something he pays for, who the hell are the airlines to say he cant. How about people stop trying to run peoples lives and act all gung ho because they think they have the power. We all have the power to do whatever the **** we want, deal with it.
