Charlie Sheen to Warner Bros: I Want a Public Trial!

3/23/2011 1:55 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Charlie Sheen thinks the deck is stacked against him in his holy war with Warner Bros. over "Two and a Half Men," and he wants a public trial, not a closed-door arbitration.

Charlie Sheen Trial

Charlie -- who was fired by Warner Bros. and is suing the company for $100,000,000 -- claims Warner Bros. is trying to force the case into private arbitration because the judges who preside over these arbitrations do lots of business with Warner Bros.

So Charlie has filed legal papers, asking for a public trial in a public courthouse.

If sense were common everyone would have it.

Give it to him! Know why? At first I thought, don't give him the attention. Now I think, splash it all over tv, because when he starts his maniacal BS in court, & the judge tells him "This is my court, you will respect it, sit down & shut up", I'll be laughing the rest of the day! Air it!

You're kinda late with the news. Martin Singer filed those papers quite a while ago, and after reading them, I was sure that even if Les Moonves was trying to make Lorre and Sheen mend fences, Charlie would never agree to go back to those losers. He wants their dirt to become public, and the fact that they want arbitration, shows that he has a CASE, and they are scared ****less.

It seems clear by Charlie's words and actions that he ego is way too big for his body and that he must of been a pain in the ass on the set of the show.
I hope Charlie does not get a dime.. He has made a mockery of the show and all the crew and writers. But most of all he made and still is making a huge jackass out of himself.
Charlie needs to realize he is NOT all that and a bag of chips..

The show may be over, but warner bros and all the cast and crew will move forward in life..And life goes on without Charlie Sheen.

I am glad no one is kissing Charlies ass..
Charlie your ego is gonna need it's own house soon..Go get help for your attitude problem and real help for your drug problem.Normal people do not act like you do.

HAHA! They are already suffering, and they KNOW it, that's why they are begging the judge not to allow the public trial. LMAO!

Dang those arbirtation clauses!! It really deprives hard working underprivileged lawyers of an opportunity to score some real cash in a tough economy. But I digress.

One more shot with the trial judge that was assigned the case. It's not gonna happen though. Boring arbitration it is. Duh. #losing. And those arbitration panels are the worst for plaintiffs. No love at all.

All drug addicts all think they are functioning just fine. CBS has already said they have loads of outtakes, and had to keep reshooting scenes because he was not performing well. Anyone watching this season's show saw he was just walking through the part, he wasn't funny, and was physically deterioting with each new episode.

The judge rejected, but Singer will be back in court tomorrow. The guy doesn't give up, when he knows he has a case. And he HAS one. That's why WB and Lorre are so freaking scared of the public trial.
And for the poster claiming that he can't win with WB...FYI, WB can be defeated just like any other company. Especially with the lawyer like Singer. You know what they call him? "Mad Dog".
LMAO!!

He won't win the case. All the producers have to do is prove negligence to opt out of the contract. & How this looney tune was acting on USTREAM -- they'll fersure win.

I'm sure you're right about that. I'm sure Sheen was caught on camera from the time he drove up to the studio, was in "make-up",behind the stage,on the side of the stage...and several other locations including all interactions with crew members that will show that on several occasions he wasn't in proper mental or physical condition for work. Between that...and testimony from the cast and crew to his condition...I'm sure Sheen has no legal leg to stand on in a court case.Probably 50 or 60 people from the "Men" staff that can't wait to tell the court their side of the "sheen" behavior story.

That's pretty naive. If that was ALL they had to do, they would have already sued him themselves and they wouldn't be begging for quiet arbitration. He has a case and they know it.
Proving negligence, when every single episode was a hit, till the very last one, is not an easy thing to do.

I think Charlie will win because it is known (he annouched it on Howard Stern and a few other media outlets) that he was ready to work and did not want the show shutdown. He was not in breach of his contract and WB/CBS/Lorre are the one who made the decision to shut it down.

====================================

While true in most instances...I'm sure Lohan was telling the Producer of that Linda Lovelace thing that she also was "Ready to Work".

Production companies have to protect the interest of the show and the other actors....CHUCKLES was in no shape (after over dosing the last time) to jump up and work...he can SAY anything he likes but rest assured their are about 100 attorneys for Warner Bros. with enough ammo to BURY CHUCKLES THE CRACK HEAD CLOWN.

Point well made, Lori - just because a person states that they are ready to work doesn't mean that they actually are ready. That's why (I assume at least in part) WB requested Charlie to submit a formal medical certification of readiness to work - as stated in Charlie's termination letter. Charlie refused to do so (I assume at least in part) because the formal process included a full examination with diagnosis. People like Charlie will do pretty much anything they have to to avoid being diagnosed - not to mention treated.
