Jeremy Piven -- Ticketed During Live Interview

4/8/2011 7:45 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Talking on your cell phone while driving is a big no-no in California -- even if you're Jeremy Piven, and even if you're giving an interview to an Australian radio station at the time.

Piven was trying to talk to 2Day FM’s "Kyle & Jackie O Show" when he got popped by Beverly Hills PD. Piven kinda sorta tried to get out of it when he told the cop (live on air, mind you), "You know what, I apologize, it’s a work related call and it’s not even a good excuse. But I had to pick it up because it’s a radio station who’s calling."

The cop didn't buy it, but the station did offer to pay the fine. We think he can afford it.

boy is this guy a TOOL, lil entitled jerk-off, untalented, lucky, and pretty much a one dimensional actor, only able to portray DOUCHEBAGS effectively. How's that for a run on sentence??

I can't believe how highly this guy thinks of himself. Inferring that the police officer is bored and coming across him is the highlite of his day? The only highlite would be that Jeremy Piven is a joke to even think that he had an excuse (job related) to be on his phone while driving. He knew ahead of time that he was going to be doing this interview, he should not have been driving at the scheduled time and/or pulled over to accept the call.
If Mr. Piven were the only celebrity in hollywood then one might think it (may) add interest to the officers day, Mr. Piven is not, he is a little fish in a big pond. This was not the officers first rodeo and that is why the oficer handled it so well.
If the officer had not pulled him over perhaps the radio show would have a completely different thing to report, like the sound of a car accident.
Mr. Piven you are an idiot and a fool and your talking down to a police officer and about his job or day to day, shows that you are a little man. It is not the highlite of a person's day to sell you a coffee or park your car, it is their jobs.

*** I don't think Jeremy completely knows how despised he is, folks. I do know that there were rumors about him taking over for Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men and if that's true, that show is going down in flames because of tuna-eating, mercury-poisoned, no-show Piven who has an entitlement mentality. Back atcha, artie! ***

Two words BLUE TOOTH....we all have to use them, so do the celebs. Celebs get away with too much now days, including Arnold. Get a nice blue-tooth device, pay the fine and stop the whinning. Geezz,,,

If he wanted to be "cool" he'd let men know where he bought his new hair...that would contributing to something to society.

Yeah, blue tooth or whatever is in my car that makes me able to talk "on the phone" by pushing some buttons on my steering wheel. He can't afford that? This reminds me of Maria (the Guv's wife) getting ticketed last year. Do these celebs think they're above every law?

y'all are haters. Piven was totally making fun of the situation. BHPD aren't the ones that need to get a sense of humor. Rock on, Piv.
