Charlie Sheen & Brooke Mueller

Officially Divorced

5/2/2011 4:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller are finally single -- their rocky divorce becoming official today.

0501_Charlie_Sheen_Brooke_Mueller_tmz_ex
As we first reported, Charlie and Brooke filed the papers and worked out the details of their divorce a few months back. But a lot has changed since then, including drug binges on both sides, custody battles and a custody settlement.   You'll recall the agreement was modified to require random drug testing on both sides.

As for money and property ... Brooke gets $55,000 a month in child support. The settlement docs specifically state that "under no circumstances shall the child support paid by Charlie for Bob and Max be less than the child support paid by Charlie to Denise Richards for Sam and Lola."

Brooke got a lump sum of $757,698.70 and $1 million for her share of the family home, which Charlie gets to keep.

The divorce may be final, but there's a good chance the battle between Charlie and Brooke will rage on.

$55,000 a month for a year is $660...,000 a year! 18 years is $11,880,000 ! Almost 12 million! He needs to get back on the show or find a new one!

But, being there for the children emotionally is so much more important than money. The kids don't care about money, they just want to play with their father.

Child support is pegged to your income...Charlie can go back to court and get it reduced upon proving that his income is nowhere near that level anymore if he wishes to.

Those two vultures would fight him tooth and nail.
Unbelieveble that people have the nerve to complain that Charlie earns as much as he does (or did), but no one complains about Brooke and Denise getting 55 000 a WEEK for the kids. And it's not like they don't have money of their own. They support their children too.

@ksis,

There you go again, misreading/misquoting a simple sentence and changing the meaning. Its "a month" not "a week" (and with EMPHASIS, too, since you are so certain in your moral outrage).

TMZ: "As for money and property ... Brooke gets $55,000 a month in child support."

ksis " but no one complains about Brooke and Denise getting 55 000 a WEEK for the kids."

@ksis,

As @S_BHATT points out, IN THE US FAMILY COURT SYSTEM - you know, not the same as the Polish system - the court determines child support based on income. If Charlie has a substantial change of income, the court will also change the child support. The change may be challenged, but as long as the income is do***ented then the court will act accordingly. So, any challenge must demonstrate that the do***entation is false in order to be successful. IF the do***entation IS false then someone is trying to cheat or deceive the court - and why not challenge that? These are the reasons - at least in part - that no one is complaining about the child support that Charlie's children receive.

Why don't you just STFU finally? You don't like my posts? My typos bother you? SKIP THEM. Every ****ing moron, even the one like you, would figure out that I wrote WEEK by mistake, which doesn't change the fact that those two are greedy bitches and NO FAMILY should get that amount of child support, unles children are sick, disabled and require very expensive treatment. Sam, Lola, Bob and Max are healthy kids for all we know.
Leave me the hell alone. Your obsession with me is SICK and DISGUSTING.

It is certainly not right for a father to live a luxurious life while his children struggle to get by, or even to live a mediocre life while he lives it up. Child support should equalize the lifestyle of the father, or the higher earning parent, and the children. The children are supposed to live the same kind of life that daddy lives, with his binges, splurges, and girlfriends, fancy cars, houses, trips, meals, or whatever. Divorce does not mean that rich daddy continues on his merry playboy way and mother and children then struggle to get by. Of course, I realize this "family" is an exception monetarily, but most families are the rule, not the exception, and the children and mother live sometimes below the poverty line while daddy is newly single and living it up. Disgusting.
