You know, I'm glad that the threat of BinLaden has been neutralized (his followers notwithstanding) but something just seems icky about us celebrating his death. I'd rather he stand trial. This is not a very seamless garment Christian society, is it. AND, more than three thousand people died from that tragedy on 9-11; those who acquired cancer from breathing the dust, the soldiers who attended the subsequent wars, the innocent civilians from the countries of said wars . . .

I am a big Obama fan, and in the military. But, this capture comes at a time when the President needs the confidence of the people back in him for his re-election. Could this have been merely for political advantage?? Either way I am glad my fellow people in uniform did not die in vain.

I am so, so, so glad that my life is not so boring as to curl up and read a book about one of the most untalented actors of all-time, Rob Lowe. Must we waste so many trees on autobiographies of actors?
