There used to be a guy on the basketball team at Duke about 10 years ago that was a Mormon and went on his mission while still an undergrad. Two years in Germany and he converted exactly ZERO people. Jimmer seems to understand that giving up 2 years in his prime isn't worth it for those results.

JUST A POINT OF INFORMATION. JIMMER IS NOT A MORMON. HE WAS AT BYU ON A BASKETBALL SCHOLARSHIP. IF HE WAS A MORMON HE WOULD HAVE HAD TO DO HIS MISSION WJILE HE WAS IN SCHOOL

I served a Mormon mission. I'm afraid it's *TWO YEARS*... A bit longer than the NBA lockout. (we hope!) Also, the Mormon mission is all about change within the missionary. It's not measured by number of baptisms. I only had three baptisms, but I don't feel a day was wasted for all that I learned. Also, doug pound... Mormon meeting consist of going to church, taking "sacrament" (similar to Catholic "communion.") listening to a few sermons, and then doing a acripture study class. Sorry, we're pretty much ordinary Christians... We don't have any sexually based worship services, rites, rituals, or ordinances. Sorry!

Harvey - if I can find one Jew that has a crazy idea about sex (or anything) will you run a segment about Jews that believe ______? You small minded ratings whore! How about finding one black person with a crazy idea (e.g. Jeremiah Wright) and running a segment about what Black Preacher Teach? No? You ratings whore.

@Joey, Jimmer is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon). Nobody is required to serve a mission, it is strictly optional. I served two years in Michigan my brother two years in Thailand and my best friend did not serve at all. We all still attend sunday services as active members of the church. If there is a social stigma in the Faith its strictly that, Social. No united group of faith has perfect members. Bigotry and immaturity have no place in any conversation.

Mr.Velvet

The Mormon cult was started by Joseph Smith who was a convicted scam artist. He claimed to use his magic rocks to find buried Spanish treasure in the New York. Problem was that he never found a thing, despite being paid well to do so. Fast forward a bit, now the same magic rocks are used to translate some fake tablets. The records were found in an old building in Ohio as it was being renovated.

Mr.Velvet

Actually, Mormons are not Christians. It's a cult started by a convicted scam artist. Mormon doctrine is fundamentally different than Christian doctrine. You can check it out here, or you can jus*****ch SouthPark.
