Hair Band LEGENDS Unite

To Honor Jani Lane

8/19/2011 3:25 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Some of the biggest hair bands you haven't heard from in 20 years are REUNITING in Los Angeles next weekend ... all to pay tribute to their fallen comrade Jani Lane ... and they're doing it for free.

Great White, Quiet Riot, LA Guns, Enuff Z'nuff and Slammin' Gladys are all set to perform at the Key Club in Hollywood -- and we're told Lane's family will be there.

300 FREE tickets will be given out at the Key Club box office starting at 10:00 AM.

Lane -- the former lead singer for the rock band Warrant -- died last week at an L.A. hotel. Officials have not released his official cause of death.

Sad comments on here. Warrant with Jani had 3 Billboard Top 10 hits and sold millions of albums...not exactly a "one hit wonder." He was a very talented songwriter as well..."Dog Eat Dog" is the most underrated album of the 90s (came out during the grunge fad unfortunately). It's sad he didn't get the help he needed...and it's also sad that Warrant, even with the replacement singer, isn't playing the show. Maybe there was bad blood, but the truth is, without Jani they never would have had any success. Maybe Skid Row should pay attention.

Jani was/is an 80s icon. He was so talented! MTV should do a tribute, to him, during the Video Music Awards Show, this Sunday.
My condolences go out to his family.
Rest In Paradise.
Rest In Peace.
Love you, Jani, from one of your biggest fans.
