Jani Lane 911 Call

Nobody Wants to Touch the Body

8/24/2011 10:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0823_jani_lane_EX_911
When Jani Lane's body was discovered at an L.A. hotel earlier this month, no one at the scene wanted to go near him... even to check if he was still alive -- this according to the 911 call obtained by TMZ.

According to the caller -- a lady at the front desk -- housekeepers discovered the body ... but no one would touch it to check for a pulse.

The dispatcher replies, "It would be nice to know if we can help him" -- but the hotel staff at the Comfort Inn hotel in Woodland Hills, CA still refused.

As we previously reported, investigators found a half-empty bottle of vodka and prescription pills on the scene. Toxicology results are expected shortly. Calls to the hotel haven't been returned.

This whole situation is just deployable. It sounds like Jani Lane was not doing perfect dealing with his addictions, but he was still living and surviving. I don't know how people can be so self-absorbed to not even check on the health of another human being. Jani "could have passed out" and maybe just needed assistance with breathing. No one in that ****-box hotel couldn't even do that. You know, the whole country is such "sue" crazy which I so do not agree with, but Jani Lane's family needs to hire an attorney to investigate the complete lack of basic first aid techniques that should have been given and wasn't and that all the employees knew he was in his room suffering a medical condition which he needed assistance and all the employees fled the hotel area and refused to reenter. WTF???

Would you check on the body if you got paid $8/hour to clean a room? **** No! No one knew he was Jani Lane, and you wouldn't know it was him either. They saw a dead body, didn't know if it was clean, and didn't want to touch it, what's the big deal?

I think the staff at this motel should be sited for criminal neglect, or something. ANYTHING! We will never know if his life may have been saved! Sometimes people can change for the better after almost dying and he could have done so much to teach about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse due to this event, maybe saving others in he process, but that chance is gone because some below blue collar trash didn't even want to go into the room and feel for a pulse or body heat! The staff as a whole are vacant of human decency and caring, and should everyone be fired and blacklisted from any kind of hospitality jobs. I'm sure they don't get a great level of client but thier actions, or lack thereof are inexcusable.

It just shows , if you cant help yourself, no one else will in life. Sad way to end , could have at least checked his pulse, good to see the comfort inn has some good policies in place to follow in case some dies. Room 118, lets see if it becomes a jani shrine now
