MJ Manslaughter Trial

Dr. Murray's Conduct

"Egregious and Unconscionable"

A prosecution witness will testify ... Dr. Conrad Murray committed  "multiple egregious and unconscionable violations" in his treatment of Michael Jackson the day he died ... this according to documents obtained by TMZ.

Prosecutors filed the document because they want to shoot down the defense theory that MJ may have orally ingested the fatal dose of Propofol.

According to Dr. Steven Shafer, "There is a zero possibility that the propofol was orally ingested."

Dr. Shafer believes, "There is almost nothing in Murray's care of Michael Jackson that reflected the actions of a trained physician."

Judge Michael Pastor has not ruled on whether Dr. Shafer is qualified to testify about the oral ingestion of Propofol.

"There is a zero possibility that the propofol was orally ingested" ~DR STEVEN SCHAFFER

This was supported by other medical professionals who testified during Pretrial

"the findings in the gastric content support the oral consumption” ~CHRISTOPHER RODGERS, the coroner who performed autopsy on Michael Jackson

"He(Murray) said he (Michael) likes to pu***** so why would he drink it? Concentration levels of Propofol and Lidocaine in stomach are very low. The concentrations aren’t indicative of someone orally taking them. If someone ingested Propofol and Lidocaine, their concentration in the stomach would be much higher" ~RICHARD RUFFALO, Anesthesiologist

So why was there VERY SMALL OF PROPOFOL IN MICHAEl'S STOMACH? Both Chris Rodgers and Richard Ruffalo testified that it was due to PORTMORTEM REDISTRIBUTION

In post-mortem redistribution, drugs move from high concentration to low concentration. Liver had high concentration of Propofol. Liver is right next to the stomach. So the propofol in stomach is due to post-mortem redistribution

The defense is grasping at straws. They should KNOW that this is just a bogus theory but this is the ONLY theory they could use, what else they will say to defend the indefensable? LOCK HIM UP! Not that 4 years is "justice" for taking a human's life!

I wish the haters would BUZZ OFF! If you don't like the man, what are you doing here? Is your life that empty that you need to sit in your mom's basement and comment about something or someone that you don't like? It wouldn't surprise me if Conrad Murray himself or his defense is making up names to comment here. After all, YES, they are THAT desperate!

ANYONE WHO IGNORANTLY UTTER THAT MICHAEL WAS AN ADDICT NEEDS TO BOTHER READING HIS AUTOPSY REPORT THEN COMMENT INTELLIGENTLY! If not, buzz off!

A California appeals court Wednesday denied Murray's petition for a stay in his trial so that the issue of jury sequestration could be reconsidered, a defense lawyer said. The denial cleared the way for jury selection to start Thursday.

Murray did fail to uphold the Hippocratic Oath.He failed to properly care for a patient. He failed to follow medical protocols. He even failed to administer CPR properly--a major fail for a cardiologist!

Dr Conrad Murray Will Take The Stand In Michael Jackson Death Trial

Dr. Conrad Murray will take the stand in a desperate bid to beat involuntary manslaughter charges, Star magazine is exclusively reporting.

The embattled doctor is charged in connection with the 2009 death of his former patient, King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

Murray had originally planned to point the finger at Jackson’s dermatologist, Dr. Arnold Klein, claiming he got the singer hooked on Demerol and other powerful narcotics.

But, just days before the start of the September 8 trial, an LA judge ruled that Klein could not be called to testify — thereby blowing a hole in Murray’s defense and forcing him to take the stand himself.

“Dr. Murray is, naturally, devastated,” his lawyer, Edward Chernoff, told Star in an exclusive interview about not being able to call Dr. Klein as a witness.

“He sees forces aligned against him and does not know why he’s not allowed to put on a defense.”

What I Think

What is this obsession you have, mj fan forever, with Dr. Murray rotting in prison? The maximum he faces is four years so unless he rots fast he won't be doing it at all. I don't think he will even serve anywhere close to four years. Assuming he is convicted, he'll probably get out early on parole.

Manslaughter
Los Angeles (CNN) -- Evidence intended to prove Michael Jackson could not have caused his own death might not be allowed in the involuntary manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, the judge said Wednesday.

A California appeals court on Wednesday denied Murray's petition for a stay in his trial so that the issue of jury sequestration could be reconsidered, a defense lawyer said. The denial cleared the way for jury selection to start Thursday.

Murray's defense is built on the theory that Jackson drank propofol, the surgical anesthetic the coroner concluded killed him, while the doctor was away from his bedside on the morning of June 25, 2009.

Prosecutors want jurors to hear expert testimony based on a recent experiment conducted on six university students in Chile they argue proves there is "zero possibility that the propofol was orally ingested."

Judge warns Murray to keep quiet about his rulings

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor raised questions about the experiment in a hearing Wednesday.

"I need more information about the underlying data since it is not a scientific published article," Pastor said. "I don't know the source of the information."

The judge will allow a prosecution expert to testify about a study on piglets conducted at a veterinary college in Norway, a report defense attorneys argued has nothing to do with how oral ingestion of propofol would affect a human.

The study involved five piglets that "have propofol suppositories shoved up their rectums and they are watched to see if they went to sleep," defense attorney Michael Flanagan said. "The rectum is at the other end of the (gastrointestinal) system."

Murray, who was hired as Jackson's personal physician as the singer rehearsed for comeback concerts, is charged with involuntary manslaughter.

Prosecutors contend Murray used a makeshift IV drip to administer propofol intended to help Jackson sleep, a practice they argue violated the standard of care and led to the pop icon's death.

Jury selection for the trial is set to start Thursday morning when about 160... potential jurors gather in the downtown Los Angeles courthouse to fill out questionnaires to determine if they are qualified to hear the case.

Opening statements in the trial, which will be televised, are expected to be delivered on September 27.
