I hope this case against Dr Murray is dropped or definitly found to be not guilty, the big wigs in the entertainment industry and some of MJ's family are looking for someone to blame, as it is easier to do so that own up to the fact that they all new he was taking a ****tail of drugs, and had been for many, many years and on a regular basis, if Dr Murray is found guilty as should every one else who have given MJ drugs along the way. Funny how non of his so called friends or family staged a major intevention at any time during his life, but then this is obvious as he was worth so much money in advertising, endorsements etc.
Also you have no idea what MJ said to Dr Murray prior to the administration of the drugs, as I am sure they did not have a path lab on tap to test what drugs he had in his system prior...
Leave Dr Murray Alone..

I only hope and pray that this will be a truly fair trial, that will satisfy all the people involved. And that the truth, the REAL TRUTH, will come out. That's the only way Michael Jackson's spirit is going to rest in peace, without being touched by all this negative energy! And will bring closure the all his family! I still feel there is a lot more to come, though. From Michael's part.

Whether or not MJ was a drug addict and even if MJ administered the fatal dose himself, Dr. Murray should in no way of had propofol in MJ's house, so yes, he is guilty of that. And given MJ's history of drug addiction, there probably should have been 24/7 supervision when those potentially fatal drugs were in MJ's presense.

MJ was probably an addict, and nobody will ever know if he admistered that fatal dose. But Dr. Conrad Murray should NOT have had thoswe drugs in MJ's house. Period!!

How he still has his license afte all of that in itself is a cruel injustice.

Dr. Conrad Murray needs to take responsibility for his actions. I am in no way defending Michael, but CM was being a very irresponsible doctor, to say the least.

And if MJ was in such terrible shape as CM claims, why on earth administer those drugs???

I see a lot of claims in here to the effect of "Murray said this", "Murray knew that", etc..., and I'm curious as to how so many people are able to make these definitive statements when so little is really publicly known about what happened the day Michael died. His cause of death has never even been released, has it? Has Dr. Murray been running around telling the press that Michael administered a fatal Propofol dose, or is that just speculation on the part of us observers?

I haven't been following this case very closely, so I guess I missed a lot of public statements the prosecutor and Dr. Murray have been making.

These are quite personal details about the selected jurors, I think.
Is this what Judge Pastor meant when telling them "We take your privacy seriously"?

I see that most of the jurors are Michael Jackson's fans. I hope they behave like professionals in that court and listen carefully to the facts in the case before they make their final decision.

I think there is a huge misperception of just how long Dr. Murray would go to prison for if convicted. He's being charged with involuntary manslaughter, which carries a MAXIMUM penalty of 48 months - just four years. Since Dr. Murray has no previous criminal history, if he is convicted it is very unlikely he will be sentenced to the maximum, more likely he would only be sentenced to 24 or 36 months.

His medical career is over, however, as well it should be IMO. If he indeed was providing Michael with Propofol, he should never be allowed to practice medicine and expose another patient to that kind of risk again.

Some of you people don't understand the fact that it's not simply a matter of being a fan or not. Other things count too. Of course, MJ attorneys wanted to have some fans in the jury and Murray attorneys had their priorities too. We don't know all the answers the jurors gave in the questionnaires. Maybe someone is a fan but personal family history makes him or her more judgmental of MJ. Other person might not be a fan but is critical of doctors in general. We don't know those things. Both sides clearly accepted the final 12 so what are you complaining about.

If?
I think you obviously haven't kept upto date with this case Catherine. It's too complex to bring you up to speed at this late date, but please be assured that there is no doubt whatsoever that Murray was giving MJ propofol, or that it was Propofol (with benzodiazapine effect) which killed MJ. As for cause of death, the coroner clearly stated that it was homicide.

Thanks Brigha from UK, I think the last I heard was the pretty much universal speculation that Propofol was involved, I didn't know it had been definitively confirmed.

So do the prosecutors think it was an accident, since they're only charging Dr. Murray with involuntary manslaughter?
