Why was Murray so good with other patients, yet so poor in treating Michael Jackson? Murray may be a great cardiologist, but he failed miserably in his duties when he treated Michael as a paying client and not a patient. It is a doctor's duty to follow all medical protocols and procedures. Doctors can only practice in the medical field(s) that they are licensed to practice. Murray was not licensed to practice anesthesiology or addiction medicine. He was not licensed to practice sleep medicine studies. When it comes to this death, the buck stops with Murray who had the duty to say "No." Patients are free to ask doctors for medicines but it is the doctor's responsibility to find out whether or not the medicine is needed, is the right medicine to treat the condition, is the right medicine for that particular patient if it is needed. It is the doctor's responsibility to carry out a physical, get a medical history, find out what other medications, what vitamins and supplements a patient is taking.
Murray may be a decent person. But, after the death, Murray HID evidence, failed to alert EMTs and ER doctors to what he had done with his patient... Murray even failed to call 911 at the proper time. He failed to monitor a patient who was under the effects of a medicine that required constant and continuous monitoring. Murray failed to follow all medical protocols and procedures that must be followed when using Propofol. And he certainly overstepped the bounds of his certification to use Propofol.

Michael Jackson is partly to blame for his death because it was reckless of him to have a personal doctor at his home administering to him propofol every night. But he already paid the price of his foolishness. He is dead. Now the doctor who killed him with the propofol needs to get punished too.

Did anyone notice that this man, Conrad, ONLY cries when someone is saying something nice about him? Oh..and what about this? He has not repeated wearing a different tie at each hearing.... That's what Murry is all about...Money spending, show offing for his girl friends, cheating on his wife,(which has nothing to do with whether he is guilty or not)and forgetting the three MOST IMPORTANT NUMBERS..911 !
Guilty as charged !!!

Dr. Murray treated his former patient Michael Jackson poorly because he did not see him as a human being. Instead he saw him as a cash cow or as an ATM machine. That's the Michael Jackson curse when people know you are a genius and a famous billionaire and they want to take advantage of you and they treat you like an object. Michael was treated like an object by his father who beat him up so he would perform and by his business managers who stole his money and by some of his friends who dished about him in the press and by the three kids who lied about him and accused him falsely of being a child molester so they would have money in the bank. The media treated him like an object by calling him Wacko Jacko and a freak whose marriage with Lisa Marie Presley was not normal. In the end Michael Jackson started seeing himself like an object when he told the AEG managers that his body was like a machine and Dr. Murray a drug pusher was required to fuel the machine with gasoline (propofol) so it would function. That's very sad. Fame distorted Michael's view of himself and in the end it was fatal. Michael was bullied all his life and people who are bullied for a long long time start seeing themselves as trash. Michael was a human being after all.

Murray is a good guy who's not-so-bright. And I'm not talking in regard to the spill-the-beans episode with the detectives. I mean quite ignorant, careless and foolish as a physician.

In regards to the comment below posted by "Ralph", you need to stop pulling the race card buddy. This has nothing to do with black or white. Michael was just as much responsible for the increased dosage of Propofol as was Dr. Murray. However, it was the Dr's final negligence that served as the one that terminated Michael's life as was argued in court. He will be found guilty, but unsure if time will be served or not. Unfortunately, he couldn't say no to Michael as his pay was too great a reward and true Michael would have hired another to do the job. The sad thing is that Dr. Murray has done a lot of good in his field, but will only be remembered for the involuntary manslaughter charge.

Four gallons of propofol, that’s enough to put the whole courtroom to sleep! This doctor is out of his f*****g mind or what? Notice how he remains eerily stoic and expressionless; he knows he screwed up. This doctor has betrayed the Hippocratic Oath; he is guilty as sin. However, Michael also had a huge responsibility in his own demise. Say no to drugs. The pharmaceutical and medicine industry are the biggest fraud.
Nearly 800 thousand people die every year in the USA from iatrogenic diseases (diseases caused by medical treatment – Physician-induced) As the Christ was the most famous victim of crucifixion Michael Jackson is the most famous victim of iatrogenic diseases (I’m not implying any parallelism or likeness between MJ and the Christ other than what is explicitly said in this comment, if you have a problem with that; it’s your problem) – Also, say no to the numerous MJ’ s exploitation out there. Joe Jackson is still pursuing to launch a line of perfumes with a professional crook. See the sickening photos of Julian Rouas posing with MJ’ s kids, Prince and Paris, to promote his stinking Jackson Tribute Perfumes:

Murray did the world a favor...

-Michael Jackson was thrice accused of child molestation (Chandler, Francia, Arvizo)

-Michael Jackson settled his 1st case for $25 million after a 13-yr-old boy accurately drew a detailed description of his genitals...including marks that can only be seen during an erection.

-Michael Jackson had an alarm system for his bedroom that would go off when someone was approaching.

-Michael Jackson had a 2nd hidden bedroom within his main bedroom.

-During the raid, police discovered that Michael Jackson had multiple books of nude children including "Boys Will be Boys", which is an extremely explicit book of young boys in erotic poses (this was locked in a filing cabinet in his room)

-Michael Jackson owned a nude photo of his pubescent friend Jonathan Spence...a boy he shared his bed with for years.

Anyone who still doesn't realize that he was a child predator is an idiot.
