Conrad Murray

Extra Protection

at the Jail Medical Ward

Dr. Conrad Murray is currently being held in the medical ward at the L.A. County Men's Central Jail -- but it's NOT because there's anything wrong with him ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement tells us ... Murray has been assigned to the medical ward while he's being processed -- as opposed to the regular holding area.

We're told the medical ward has a "higher density of deputies" -- which means it's easier for officers to keep an eye on a high profile prisoner like Murray when he's in the M.W.

As we previously reported, Murray has been deemed a "keep away prisoner" -- which means officials must keep an eye on the doc at all times, as a matter of his own protection.

There are several reports that Murray is on suicide watch -- but officials at the jail tell us those reports are incorrect.

Best Mom

November 29 - the day the Jackson Family gets to speak in court and address Conrad Murray. Let it be tape-recorded statements from each of Michael's children - played loud and clear in court. That would be amazing!

Security will be a major issue for Murray during his time spent in jail.

Is Conrad Murray capable of any emotions beside being emotionless?

its nice to see that the Jackson family finally got some justice, I know the Guilty Verdict will never bring MJ back, but atleast the Jackson's will have some sort of closure. I am curious to see what the Jackson family is going to say when they read their victims impact statement. I am sure his mother Katherine will say something and most of his brothers and sisters, his children have a right to say something to the court too, I'm pretty sure that if any of MJ's children will say anything it would be his daughter Paris, she will probably speak on behalf of her and her 2 brothers, its possible his oldest son Prince might say something too, but I doubt Blanket wont say anything because he is very shy and he always looks like he doesn't feel comfortable speaking in public, plus he is probably still traumatized to this day about losing his father. I am just glad that MJ's children have great support and love from their Grandmother, aunts and uncles. Now MJ can finally rest in peace, he may be gone, but he will never be forgotten, his spirit and his music will live on forever. R.I.P. MJ

And to help with jail over-crowding, he will be allowed to administer propofol to prisoners so they can get some good sleep, whilst leaving them unattended for a lengthy time, so he can make/take phone calls and go pee.

This is something I've never understood. If someone is convicted of causing another person's death by a jury of his peers, why is he allowed all this special treatment inside a jail. He is a criminal. Just because he is in the media doesn't make him better than John Q Public. California justice is not equal across the board that I can see.

Why was his death and convicting the dr who prescribed meds to him, more important then the deaths of Elvis Presely and Anna Nichol Smith?? Their doctors were never prosecuted.

all about the money

After all this I hope that other malpractice deaths are pursued as aggressively as this case was otherwise yet another case of celebrity justice. What could have normally been an unlawful death civil suit became a criminal manslaughter case simply because it was MJ and not so joe blow unknown. Was the doctor at fault...sure but I don't believe 100%. MJ made his demands and found a doctor willing to take the chance. Well the doc is paying for it now but I believe some of the "blame" lays on MJ as well as the doc.

Stupid People Hater

So, if he can get a maximum of 4 year with the overcrowding and such, using the Lindsay Lohan formula he should do no more than 1 year max right?

This is such crap. Jackson was a freak and a drug addict! Where were the money-grubbers (his "family") when he was alive?? Murray didn't kill the freak. He killed himself. This poor man got railroaded. I hope he wins his appeal then sues the Jackson ********! Just because the stupid public perception of Michael. People need to open their eyes. Dude was a major freak. Who cares how much money he had. He was still a freak. Quite frankly, Dr. Murray did the little boys of this country a favor.
