Ryne Sanderg

Interested in Cardinals Job

'It's a Possibility'

Chicago Cubs legend Ryne Sandberg seems to be very interested in taking the manager job with his former sworn enemy -- the St. Louis Cardinals -- telling TMZ, "It's a possibility."

Sandberg was recently dissed by his former team -- after the new G.M. Theo Epstein announced he would not consider Ryne to be the next Cubbies' skipper ... however, it's been reported that the rival Cards might want to bring him on board.

Ryne was out in Malibu this weekend, when we asked point blank if St. Louis was interested in his services. Sandberg grinned from ear to ear ... and replied, "We'll see ... it's a possibility."

Feel the burn Chicago.

Puh-leeze. Cardinals have the second-most world series titles, 11, after NY Yankees. I'm sure Mr. Sandberg is cryin' in his Cheerios about this news about the Cubs job — NOT — on the way to meet with DeWitt, Mozeliak, and Co. in St. Louis. The Cubs, omfg, for _real_ dude.

And why do the CUBS suck and have sucked for 100 years? Because they pass on great talent until some other team takes it and then they wish they chose otherwise for their career and not hiring him for the CUBS job was one of their most recent deadly mistakes, treat old stars like crap.

Ummmmm, news flash update..... The cubs management team called Ryne to tell him he would NOT be considered for the position because he has no major league coaching experience. The Cubs told him no. Now I am not sure if it's a good thing or a bad one, but get it right. Why report on sports here??? Oh, Lindsay is out of jail, and the not so good doctor is in. Must mean there is extra space around here now....... Go find Weston Cage or some other nobody. They are more fun than this.......

Fan Boy Theo won't hire Sandberg because he's worried about sharing too much of the credit 'if' they pull off a miracle and win it all.

I seriously doubt that "Sanderg" will get the job, for the same reasons the Cubs passed on him: no major league experience. St. Louis needs someone with strong credentials to take over from LaRussa.
This is all PR spin and hype.
Sandberg, though, would take any major league job offered to him, I'm sure.
