Bobby Brown

Distraught After Hearing

He's Unwanted at Funeral

2/15/2012 5:15 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

0214_bobby_brown_exd_tmz
Bobby Brown is "extremely disappointed" after hearing that several members of Whitney Houston's family do not want him to attend the singer's funeral ... sources tell TMZ.

Sources close to Bobby tell us ... people connected to the Houston family have reached out to Bobby to warn him that he shouldn't attempt to attend the funeral because the family isn't fond of him.

However ... we're told Bobby has not received any OFFICIAL word from the family about his invite status.

Sources tell us ... Bobby WANTS to attend the funeral so he can support his daughter Bobbi Kristina, but he hasn't decided on a plan of action yet.

Bottom line -- we're told Bobby is hoping the family will be able to set aside their differences so they all can focus on mourning the loss of their loved one.

That is FRIGGIN WRONG WRONG WRONG. I lost my 25 yo son July 9, 2004 to a drunk driver. EVERYONE who wants to say goodbye, especially Bobby, his daughter's mother for gosh sake. That would be UNBELIEVEABLE if they turn this into a evil war. HORRORS!

This is not about blame, this is about doing the right thing. BK was spotted snorting Charly herself, this was denied by her and her father. Of course "hay gurl, someone tricked me into snorting Cocaine" of course was she snorting pop-rocks and not Charly, of course! BK palmed herself as a "Jetsetta" on her twitter page, but from everything what you see from her online is her weakness and insecurity at most. She is 18 and still a child, she never had arents that could guide her, teach her how to handle emotional pain. She is the victim here and her family is doing the right thing by guarding her. They must keep her away from these people. Not because Bobby brown killed Whitney Houston and all this crap, but because she is a child and Before you echo 'Amen' in your home or place of worship, think and remember...a child is listening.

This shows just how ignorant Whitney Houston's family really are and to know that they cannot (are you really Christians) put aside their feelings towards him for the sake of appearance and Bobbi Kristina if you say that you love her, without Bobby there would be no Bobbi Kristina........COME CISSY step up to the plate and DO THE RIGHT THING!!! It's about Bobbi Kristina and Whitney and I know she would have wanted him there for their daughter!!!!

He should be at the funeral. I know alot of people including whitney's family blame him But Whitney did Love him! Even after their divorce. You can tell Whitney still loves Him. It looked more like she Divorced him because everyone, the media, the fans, her family all wanted her to divorce him and she gave in because it was better for her image. At the time she was trying to do a comeback. Remember?

I've seen a few interviews including the oprah one where she talks about how much she loves him even after the divorce. Based on that alone. He should be there. It doesn't matter if he was a bad person or not. She loved him and she probably wants him there.

Whitney was a grown ass woman.
She made her own choices.
She did drugs before and after Bobby Brown.
She did drugs with whoever she was with, right up to the end.
Get over it and let him mourn too.
He wasn't with her at the end.
Her bodyguard, assistant, relatives, they all failed her. They should be held accountable, not Bobby Brown.

Whitney had her own brain. Whether Bobby fueled her addictions or if she'd have become an addict anyway, we can never know. It's easy to blame Bobby. Larry Flint carried some guilt too when his wife started copping his pain meds. But people usually have deeper problems that keeps them in the drugs than simply being drawn in by one person.

If Bobbi wants him there, he should be there. It is her father and it was HER mother. Obviously, Whitney's family isn't fond of him, but they should be able to put that aside for Bobbi's sake. It should ultimately be her choice. If Bobbi doesn't care or doesn't want to see him, then it's the familys right to keep him away if that's what they want.

Harvy! You're a lawyer,,,if Whitney never changed the Life Insurance policy (valued over 80Mill today) from her husband at the time "Bobbie" never changed the name, (most people forget and don't update especially women since he maybe had his lawyer draft it up) ...he would get all the $$$

I agree with Whitney Houston's family , It was enough he took her away from us ,destroyed her fame and fortune, and when she got broke not only ran but killed her!! May the doors of heaven be waiting for her and another star shines down at us and say (FREE AT LAST, FREE AT LAST THANK GOD TOOK ME TO HIS LOVING ARMS ! BECAUSE, GOD LOVES ME .She will be missed by billions of people, but never ever forgotten. I will always carry her in my heart.RIP. My blessings to her wonderful family.

Bobby Brown needs to find somewhere to settle down and snort some, rather than adding salt to injury, so to speak, by showing up UNWANTED at the funeral!

Has he not caused enough DAMAGE already, to the Houston family1?

I had an employee of mine die 11 years ago in a car accident. She was only 32. Her family disliked her husband so much that they had 2 separate funeral services and 2 separate funeral notices published in the same newspaper. The service the family had the husband was not allowed to attend. In fact when he showed up anyway he was turned away by hired security which were off duty police officers. The service he had the following day her family showed up and he bit his tongue and said nothing inappropiate to them. One of the dumbest things I ever saw especially since they had 3 kids together.

Piece of ghetto trash probably wants to get one last shot at abusing Whitney before they put the crack whore in the ground.

That is really, really unfair for the family to do if this is true. Those two were married and had a child. He deserves to be at her funeral to say goodbye and to be with their girl. To deny him this would make things ALOT worse unnecessarily. It would be very low and very sad. The Houstons don't have to like him but they don't have the right to keep him away. :*(
