'Biggest Loser' Castoff

Contestants on Strike

Are Sabotaging Their Lives

2/23/2012 3:00 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

John Forger
The oldest person ever to compete on "Biggest Loser" has some wise words for the contestants currently on strike -- the weight loss show is NOT about the prize money ... it's about saving your life.

TMZ broke the story ... nearly all of the remaining contestants on the current season have walked off the show and are threatening to quit -- after learning that producers were considering bringing back previous contestants to compete for the $250,000 grand prize.

The contestants are striking because they feel it's unfair to bring back old contestants -- which would hurt their chances at winning the money.

But 66-year-old John Forger (above) -- who competed on Season 12 -- tells TMZ, "It's not about [money]. What it's really about, for most of us, is the change in our lifestyle, and being able to get rid of obesity."

John adds, "For most of us, it's about health. Would I walk off the show for the money? ABSOLUTELY NOT."

John was eliminated in the second week of Season 12 -- but he tells us, he has no regrets ... losing 97 pounds while he was on the show, and an additional 15 afterwards.

I would let them all go whom is on strike and bring back the ones voted off! If they are allowed to return, this will start a domino effect for the future shows! This is about their health and the money is a bonus! Shame on them!!

I wish they would get rid of all these crazy, complaining, people. AnaConda especially. WORST SEASON EVER! Let them all walk off and get new people. They are all ridiculous!

I agree with most of the comments. Let them walk off and bring back the people who want to be there. They are just like petulant children ~ gimme what I want or I'm gonna go away. I say, "GO AWAY"!! As soon as the producers say bye-bye and continue without them, they'll regret their decisions.

To the Producers of this show. The people on strike (so ridiculous) LET THEM GO! Give the rest of the show to those you bring back and let them compete for the $250,000.
Im a huge fan of the show but this season is the worst season of this show EVER! CONDA HAS TO GO!! boot her off I am sure the strike is a Conda led strike.
To the "striking" Contestants - REALLY? REALLY? How many out there would die to be in your shoes on the show. ALL OF YOU SHOULD BE SENT HOME! First Airplane ticket should go to Conda. Producers SEND THEM HOME!!

This strike does not involve the season currently airing with Cunda and Kum. It is the new season to air this summer.

I actually don't watch the show, think its a ben-there-don that show now. However my wife watched it the other night and when the last black contestant was eliminated I mentioned to her, the sponsors will not like that.
Having no black contestants and many weeks to go, I bet they come up with some ploy to bring some contestants back. If you have no black audience you don't sell products. Thats what the show is really about.
I've thought it was a racist show for many years, always bringing back blacks to compete and re-compete to keep the diversity level.
Hopefully the contestants will all quit and the show will end, its stupid. I mean realistically how many people can exercise 8 hours a day?

I think it's absurd that you reduce this to racism. They didn't win the competition to be on the show originally which is why they were targeted. The ratings have been fine with no black contestants.

This comes down to attitude. This seasons contestants have been fully of attitude and full of themselves. Most don't seem to be interested in changing their lives; only interested in earning a few minutes in the spotlight and a big paycheck.

There are some of us who watch the show to be inspired to continue (or maybe start) our own weight loss journeys. I know I incorporate many of the exercises and food tips in my daily life and I look forward to the show for the inspiration to just keep going. Weight loss is hard and anyone who does not have the constant battle in their life will never understand. Most of the people I know who are drawn to this show continue to tune in because they relate with the issues discussed.

Kick the ungrateful bullies off the show. Bring back the ones the bullies voted off, they will be grateful for the second chance, they were the nice ones anyway, bring them back.

These immature ungrateful bullies that remain, are not there for the right reasons, they don't look at this opportunity and two professional trainers and make the best of this process, to save their lives, get themselves healthy for their families?

All they care about is playing it up for the cameras and the money?

Nothing inspiring about Conda, Kim or some of the others that remain anyway, so boot them off the show.

Those who did not get to make it on the show, because of these selfish bullies, these bullies should be ashamed! They stole an opportunity, a life changing opportunity away from 1000s of others who wanted to be on the show.

Worst season of BL ever.

Conda, the ring leader bully, should have been booted off long ago. She's a malicious mean girl. Immature, she claims she wants to be a role model for her daughter? Horrible what she is role modeling. She has some psychological issues.

In the end, they embarrass and humiliated themselves and their families with their bullying behavior. Not a good image to put out there for their careers.

Even Bob cannot stand any of the contestants that are left, he thinks they are bullies too.

It's not like they haven't brought back eliminated contestants before. It's all part of the way this competition goes. If these latest "losers" don't like it they shouldn't have signed up. NBC needs to get rid of all those who walked off the show and bring back those who were eliminated and really want to be there for the right reasons.

Smart man...but he must see that this group of contestants are selfish a-holes.
Send them all packing and bring back the nice contestants that they already sent home.

These contestants are the worst! Their weight loss has been terrible and all they do is complain. There are plenty of people who need and want to lose weight and be on this show. Whoever picked this group with Conda and Kim should be ashamed of themselves. They are causing all the drama.
