Sacha Baron Cohen Spills Ashes All Over Ryan Seacrest
Sacha Baron Cohen took shameless promotion to a whole other level on the red carpet of the Oscars tonight -- not only did he show up dressed as his character from the upcoming movie "The Dictator" ... but he spilled an urn filled with fake ashes of Kim Jong Il all over Ryan Seacrest on live television.

Props to Seacrest though ... as he always does, Ryan took the whole thing in stride.

I wonder what occupy wallstreet would say about the oscars if the "actors" were CEO's??? the oscars is nothing but the rich and elite having a party to give themselves awards for being more beautiful, rich and talented than the viewers who are glued to their TV's, cheering them on for spending 10k on a dress, 1 mill on diamonds .... its a little sick if you really think about it

sasha cohen is such a stupid actor. why does hollywood even put up with him. no talent. I don't see how any person would think anything he does is funny. So many great actors and comedians out there and he just looks like an idiot over and over. 2nd grade humor. Idiot.

Don't worry, Seacrest is used to having stuff spilled on his face.

What was up with the douche bag security guard handling Sacha?

Umm ok...

I thought it was rude. If he needs to show up in his costume to get some publicity that's fine, but to mess up somebody's expensive clothes when they are trying to do a job is rude and made him look pathetic.

TMZ got it right: Truly a shameless promotion. I hope the movie bombs.

I agree completely with #1--the joke fell flat and was lame. I think his career will be falling flat pretty soon also.

That was funny but pointless and as PR is concerned it won't bode well the next day in the press.

Although it will create fodder for the media outlets. I call it a win.
