Charles Manson

Parole Denied

4/11/2012 10:15 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
breaking news

Infamous mass murderer Charles Manson just lost his last real shot at freedom ... the parole board just denied his latest request for release.

The hearing took place at Corcoran State Prison in CA...where Manson-- who was convicted of 7 murders in 1969 ... including Sharon Tate's-- was previously denied parole 11 times.

Now ... at the ripe old age of 77 this is most likely the murderer's last stand...since his case cannot be heard again for another 15 years ... putting him well into his 90s.

Only one Manson Family member convicted of murder has been paroled -- Steve Grogan--who was granted his freedom in 1985 for aiding the authorities and good behavior.

If you recall...Manson was originally sentenced to death in 1972 but it was commuted after the California death penalty was declared unconstitutional.

I've read many of the comments here and it strikes me that many of you need to get the facts straight before you comment....or at least know the facts. In the Tate/LaBianca case Manson was convicted of 7 counts of first degree murder and 1 count of conspiracy to commit murder. In this particular case Manson did not kill any of the victims but ordered his followers to commit them. He personally entered the LaBianca residence and tied the two victims up then sent his minions in to murder them. He was convicted in the killing of Shorty Shea, a ranchhand at Spahn's Ranch, and in the Gary Hinman murder. In July 1969, before the Tate/LaBianca murders, he personally shot a black drug dealer named Bernard Crowe, leaving him for dead. This man did not die but Manson believed he had killed him. Please read up on the facts before you make comments. Yes Manson was sentenced to death in 1971 then the California Supreme Court abolished the death penalty, allowing Manson and the others convicted to become eligible for parole hearings. Let me stress again....COMMENTERS GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU POST!!!!

I don't believe in the death penalty, but this guy should die in prison and never be set loose. Most people don't remember that he and his "crew" not only murdered people in horrific ways, but they also cut out Sharon Tate's unborn child. He instigated and oversaw all of this.

Will Matthew Roberts ever find out if Charles is his father or not?

think of just how much of the tax payer money has been used for the last 43 years, just to keep him in prison. even at lets say 25,000 a year that comes up to around 1,075,000. now i am no expert on the "bottom line" but i would like to think that that money could have been used for more productive things, such as schools and education (which seems to suffer the most in this country). why spend this kind of money on creeps like this, when it would do more good elsewhere.

Of coarse he is denied...he is insane..oh wait insane people are freed every year from prison. Must have been denied cuz he is white AND insane. If he was black they would have banners demanding his freedom in all the urban centers.
