John Travolta

I Didn't Pay Off Accusers

5/17/2012 11:01 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

John Travolta
didn't cough up a red cent to the two male masseurs who accused him of sexual battery -- despite the fact that both dismissed their lawsuits just days apart.

Travolta's lawyer, Marty Singer, tells TMZ, "Not one penny has been paid nor do we have any intention to pay any money for these ridiculous and false claims."

As we reported, the second accuser fired his lawyer -- just two days after the first accuser filed papers dismissing his lawsuit. The second accuser is also expected to file papers dismissing his lawsuit.

It's unclear why accuser #2 is ending his Travolta war.

Accuser #1 called it quits after TMZ posted photos proving his story was bogus.

The story of MJ's life... :(

I worked at a hotel/spa that has not been part of this circus back in the 90's and old JT came there several times. Fact: he always requested a male masseur, when laying face down he would grind the table, he would ask for deep works on his gluteus and purposely make the masseur's elbow slip into his butt crack, and would slowly make the sheet fall away to expose himself. Everytime the masseur complained to mgmt, they would reply "oh we will just let someone else work on him". None of these men gave into his advances but it was pure hell for 2 hours. That's right. JT would book a two hour appt. very time. It finally ended when a mgr. with a pair told JT to knock it off. He never came back and he started a rumor that he was accused of making advances at a female therapist. Do you remember that one? Of course not. It wasn't true, it was a smoke screen. This accusations are 100% true. He's been pulling this crap for years. I have nothing to gain telling you this. I'm not asking for a dime. I'm just sick of all you naive people thinking that JT is innocent. He doesn't know the difference because he doesn't live in reality!! Wake up!

Don't know, not sure I care, except that I don't like opportunistic liars OR pea-brained Scientologists.

The truth of why John Travolta is in "hot water": He pissed off someone high up in Scientology. Higher uppers like Travolta and other celebs like Tom Cruise, Kristie Alley, Lisa Marie Presley have to give up a % of income, and when's the last time you saw Travolta in a film or working? So Travolta didn't want to give up the cash to Scientology, plus has to sell off some of his toys because of the dry up in films. So the Scientology people have made this massage thing come to light!

THIS is the REAL reason John Travolta is in hot water! For years he was able to get away with this massage thing, and when you have lots of them, you get a bit bland toward them and may cross the line, and so Travolta probably did, but when he pissed someone off at his cult Scientology, and began saying he didn't want to give anymore cash to them, and even sold a few of his planes. I think he is strapped for cash, so Scientology turned on him and concocted this massage mess. That's what happened.

As the cases against John Travolta move away from the spotlight, I believe that there is another (maybe bigger) issue that should be evaluated within the legal system.

Given that our system of justice is predicated on the premise that an individual is assumed innocent until proven guilty, why were both plaintiffs permitted to disguise their names (i. e., Joe Doe 1, Joe Doe 2) and be hidden from any scrutiny while Mr. Travolta's name was placed out before the public. (I don't recall hearing that there was a finding that he was guilty.)

If the suits are ultimately dropped or if Mr. Travolta wins the remaining open case, where does he go to regain his reputation or repair the damage? Also, will the plaintiffs be required to be identified in public using their actual names so society can make any judgements about them?

Maybe life - as well as the legal/justice system - isn't fair, but at least our framework for jurisprudence should be just. Further, we should make sure that all of us have access to the founding principles.
