A&E's 'Cajun Justice'

New Sheriff FIRES Cast,

Show in Jeopardy

Well folks, there's a new Sheriff in town ... and what that means for the cast of A&E's hit reality show "Cajun Justice" is ... they're NO LONGER ON A REALITY SHOW.

If you didn't know ... "Cajun Justice" follows Sheriff Vernon Bourgeois and his team of deputies while they fight crime in the swamps of Louisiana ... that is until a new Sheriff took over (after filming wrapped) and decided to CLEAN HOUSE.

The Terrebonne Sheriff Dept. tells TMZ, the new head honcho -- a guy named Jerry Larpenter -- FIRED 24 people on his first day ... including 5 of the 7 cast members featured on the show. An additional 6th cast member quit to support his fellow comrades.

We're told ... not only did the new Sheriff can most the cast, but as of July 1, he banned producers from following ANYONE in his department.

Fortunately for producers, they had already shot enough footage to finish out Season 1 ... but there will be no NEW episodes featuring members of Larpenter's team.

The Terrebonne Sheriff's Dept. confirmed, "We are no longer participating in the A&E show."

It's unclear if A&E will scrap the show completely or attempt to find a new department to work with. Calls to A&E and the show's production company were not returned.

The citizen properly didn't want justice as agressive as it can turn out when the cameras are on and the police are pushed to get the viewers action to sell the show.

Sometime you just have to let the criminals mind their own business. Otherwise you end up paying rent for a lot of inmate who couldn't have the living standards offered in jails in real life because they are too lazy or coming from the southern or eastern part of Europe.

In Denmark 10 percent of the inmates are tourist coming to Denmark to be feed and nursed in our jails and we taxpayers are tired of feeding them to a point where lawarbeiding elderlies in Denmark have to use their diapers twice because the money are spent locking people up.

Lazy writer and editor: One need only Google the term "Cajun Justice" to find the correct spelling of Terrebonne Parish -- not Terrabone.

All you muppets on the high horse need to s.t.f.u If you dont watch the show you dont know jack sht about it anyway. A camera in the squad cars did not reduce the quality of the policing the community received.

Why would Sheriff Larpenter want his parish perceived a it was in this ridiculous show? I live on the bayou in Terrebonne parish, and it was just stupid. The boys from Hollywood made it look like every Cajun was toothless, ignorant, dabbling in voodoo, and running from the roo ga roo. Some of what happens here on the bayou is extremely comical, and Lord knows we love to have a good time, but the scripting of this series and the portrayal of the Cajun culture was so off base, and so offensive, I congratulate Larpenter for doing his job. Seriously, if someone wants to do a reality show here that portrays the humor and joy of my culture, send someone who can interview the older people about times-past, those who's first language was Cajun French, before they all die out. My Mama, my old aunts and uncles, etc. can tell stories that will crack you up, warm your heart and leave you with a real and honest sense of what life is like on the bayou.

I'm from Houma, which is a city in Terrebonne Parish, and I have to say that the show is a complete embarrassment to anyone from around here! In fact, the entire thing was scripted from the start, and the "new" sheriff isn't actually "new" at all...he's our previous sheriff of 20 + years before Vernon, and once he saw that our department was being run to the ground by a bunch of fakes like the ones on the show, he decided to run again and can the cast because of the false pretenses that were being "do***ented" by te show. Contrary to what people across this country believe, we do not have alligators as pets, we don't live in the swamp, we DO NOT practice Voodoo, and we ARE educated! Please do not let that show fog your mind about people from Terrebonne Parish. We are a community that thrives on our unique culture, rich heritage, and deep rooted family values!

Why did he fire them? I didn't see a reason. There are law enforcement shows in other states. These people were hard workers. Sounds like someone is a little jealous............
