Jon Bon Jovi's Daughter

Heroin Charges Dropped

Jon Bon Jovi
's daughter will not face criminal prosecution after allegedly overdosing on heroin in a college dorm yesterday -- because the D.A. has dropped all charges.

A rep for the Oneida County District Attorney's Office says it is dismissing all criminal charges against Jon's 19-year-old daughter Stephanie Bongiovi as well as the 21-year-old male student allegedly involved with Stephanie's overdose.

TMZ broke the story ... Stephanie was arrested after being treated by emergency medical personnel following the alleged overdose at a Hamilton College dormitory. Cops claim a drug task force found small quantities of heroin in the dorm room ... along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Stephanie was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia. The 21-year-old was also charged with drug possession.

The D.A. says the charges were dropped because of a New York law that specifically prohibits prosecution of people experiencing a drug overdose -- as well as the people who help them seek medical care.

Are you freakin kidding me? If that were any of us, we would have been jailed.. Knew this would happen, Funny we should remember if we ever get caught doing something, not just talking about drugs, we must use the word "EXPERIENCING" or have a well known daddy whose loaded. We all know he bought her way out of this one. What a joke.

If he is smart about it he will get her into therapy immediataly. She may talk her way out of this one, but the next time there may not be another 'supposive overdose' when she is dead. Get on it Dad.

The law is simular to the safe haven law for infants. Nobody wants to see someone die from an overdose because people are afraid of criminal charges if they go to a hospital or call 911.Get a brain morons this applies to everyone not just celebrities.

So drugs are legal as long as you take enough to possibly kill yourself? Take note kids.

So what you're saying TMZ is the NY Drug Task Force, whom I would think know the law, arrested her and the person who was involved with her OD'ing, confiscated all the drugs and the paraphernalia and took him to jail and she went to the hospital KNOWING THE D.A. WOULD NOT PROSECUTE them.

This is what you want us to believe.

I wonder how much Bon Jovi paid to make this go away.....just saying.
