MIchael Jackson's Family

Don't Ask

'Who's The Daddy?"

Michael Jackson
's family is pleading with the judge in their wrongful death lawsuit against AEG Live to EXCLUDE any evidence of the paternity of MJ's 3 kids.

TMZ has obtained legal docs in which Katherine Jackson, Blanket, Paris and Prince argue ... it's irrelevant for a jury to hear evidence about the conception of the 3 kids. Specifically, they believe AEG has no right to delve into their biological parentage.

The Jackson crew also wants to exclude any evidence that MJ's siblings have financial problems.  They worry AEG might try to argue that the real force behind the lawsuit is the need for cash.

And mama Jackson and the kids want the judge to bar evidence or any mention of child molestation allegations, partly because MJ was never found guilty.

A judge has yet to rule on the motions.

All of these issues were squashed. Now that Grandma wants more money all these things are coming out again. Nobody will ever agree on what Michael Jackson did or did not do. We all know that Michael did not want his children dealing with the following topics: paternity issues, drug use, murder, molestation, etc. Those are not topics that children should have to deal with. The selfishness and greed of Katherine Jackson knows no end. Michael Jackson left this country to avoid these issues. And no matter how we feel about Michael his children are innocent and should not have to deal with issues that he could not cope with. This is why Katherine Jackson is greedy and self centered. Has she ever given thought to how all of this is going to impact these children. Prince Jackson can say that his dad discussed a lot with him. I am sure though certain topics were off limit. Michael Jackson wanted his children to be kids. To discuss adult issues with a child is too rob them of their innocence. I don't think Prince or Paris have anything to offer. I think that the grandmother wanted to throw them out there so the judge would take pity and award them an outrageous amount of money. This is just a frivolous lawsuit that is going to do more harm than good to these children in the long run. These children need a child advocate. It must be somebody out of the Jackson family. A person who can be objective.

These children are not Michael' and most people know that. The children know it too. They also know that there father was accused of child molestation. They also know their father was addicted to drugs. They don't need to deal with this though. Greedy grandma Jackson can never get enough. She is not doing this for Michael or those kids she is doing this because her quest for money is like a bottomless pit. When is this old bitch going to die and go away already?

I wonder if Michael Jackson would have been proud of his 'fans ' supporting AEG against his Mother and his children?
If the children want to testify then they must do so.
Justice may bring them some closure.

It is not so much that the fans support AEG, but some are extrememly upset of what will be inferred and entered into evidence during this trial.

The trial will not prove nor disprove AEG's guilt in the death or mistreatment of Michael. But will once again put Michael on trial.

Did you know that AEG has been allowed to present evidence pertaining to the molestation charges? I believe they are going to say that is what fueled MJ's alleged drug addiction.

Also, the Jackson camp objected to any deposition of Randy but yet had not problem deposing Prince and Paris.

Remember, this trial is ONLY about negligence in the hiring of Conrat.

Nothing else.

Why don't you just fess up and admit you are a fan. Don't know how someone in your supposed profession is not able to be honest regarding oneself.

I'll post this question again... Was MJ competent in making decisions about his own welfare or not? I'll give you a little hint, if people like MiMi, SaraJane and DuckNature stay consistent with what they said on the subject, both answers are wrong.

If you lived and worked in areas notorious for car theft, would you pay a little extra to insure you car for theft?

AEG,seeing what condition MJ seemed to be in, and taking out an additional amount of coverage for something that would not be part of a standard policy was obviously a smart thing to do.

Jackson family is suing AEG Live for billions in Michael Jackson's 2009 death

Los Angeles (CNN) -- Paris Jackson, the 14-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson, is being questioned Thursday about her father's last days as part of her family's wrongful death lawsuit against a concert promoter.

In addition, Jackson lawyers told the judge in a court filing this week they were concerned that lawyers for AEG Live, the company accused of liability in Jackson's death, were "behaving aggressively and erratically" in their questioning of the Jackson children.

AEG Live asked Los Angeles Superior Judge Yvette Palazuelos to order Blanket Jackson to appear for a deposition, but his doctor warned it would be "medically detrimental" to the 10-year-old boy, according to the court filing.

When AEG Live lawyers deposed Prince Jackson, 16, earlier this month, they asked questions intended "to agitate the boy, creating serious concern among his guardians and attorneys," the do***ent said.

Prince "testified that he was intimately involved in his father's affairs," an AEG Live lawyer said in an e-mail defending the questioning.

The wrongful death lawsuit is a high-stakes contest. Prince, Paris, Blanket and their grandmother, Katherine Jackson, are suing AEG Live for billions of dollars. The trial is set to begin in Los Angeles next month.

Jackson lawyers complained that AEG Live lawyers engaged in "a concerted tactical effort made to harass and burden the Jackson family through these abusive discovery processes."

While Blanket -- who was just 6 when his father died on June 25, 2009 -- will not be called as a witness in the trial, AEG Live has tried to force him to sit for a deposition, the filing said.

Blanket's doctor provided a letter saying it would be "medically detrimental" to the boy. "Yet defendants still to this day say they may move to compel Blanket's deposition," the Jackson filing said.

Jackson lawyers accused AEG Live lawyers of mistreating Prince when he was deposed on a recent Saturday. They "behaved in a manner designed to agitate the boy, creating serious concern among his guardians and attorneys," their filing said.

"Defense counsel asked the boy completely irrelevant and repetitive personal questions about whether he sends text messages, whether he send text messages from his phone, and whether he 'tweets,'" they said. "Defense counsel also asked the boy about every place he had ever lived, every teacher he had ever had and about his current efforts to start a career in addition to being a full-time student -- none of which have anything to do with the case at hand."

AEG Live lawyer Jessica Stebbins Bina, in an e-mail included in the court filing, defended her co-counsel Marvin Putnam's questioning of Prince.

"My understanding is that the deposition proceeded with appropriate questioning, and that the questions were legitimate questions appropriate to a wrongful death suit," she said.

The Jackson lawyers also complained about the questioning of family matriarch Katherine Jackson, who is 82. AEG Live lawyers deposed her for nine hours over three days and are asking for a fourth chance, they said. The questioning could have been easily done in two or three hours, they told the judge.

The lawsuit contends that AEG Live is responsible for Jackson's death because it hired and supervised Dr. Conrad Murray, who was administering the surgical anesthetic propofol to Jackson each night for a month to induce sleep as he prepared for a series of concerts organized by AEG Live.

AEG Live contends that Michael Jackson chose Murray as his personal physician. The promoter denies having hired or supervised Murray.

A jury found Murray guilty of involuntary manslaughter after hearing testimony that he violated medical standards in his treatment of Jackson.

I agree that AEG was negligent, BUT IMO this trial will not prove or disprove that their specific actions, or lack thereof, contributed to his death. I hope I am incorrect in my thinking on this subject.

I support MJ3 in what ever endeavors they choose. They are Michael's children and will ALWAYS have the support of the fans.

Sorry, but I cannot say the same for Katherine. Her motives in this trial is monetary only, and the trial is not going to give any closure regarding many unanswered questions surrounding MJ's death.

Money is the sole motive here and both sides will throw MJ under the bus in attempt to win their case.
