Usher
's 5-year-old son is recovering well after his tragic pool accident earlier this week ... and doing what every recovering sick kid in the hospital does ... watching "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air."

Usher's ex Tameka Raymond posted this photo of lil' Usher to her Instagram Saturday, with the caption, "Woke up cheerful, happy and hungry ... watching Fresh Prince. What does he know about Fresh Prince? lol."

TMZ broke the story ... Usher's son was hospitalized after he almost drowned in a pool under the care of his aunt. His parents decided to keep him under doctors' care until they were 100% sure he was okay.

He's expected to be released from the hospital this weekend.

Wishing the little one a speedy recovery, and hoping his parents call a truce on their fighting for the sake of their children. That kind of battling can do more harm than good for a child.

How about being in the water with your kids. Not with Aunty not tied to a pole. Last Year obviously did not wake them up maybe this will. Doubt it.

Someone PLEASE tell this woman to STOP posting pictures of this child. Most celebs understand plastering pictures of their children online is just not smart too many nut jobs out there! Protect the child and stop this insane Kartrashian type exploitation!!!!

Glad he's doing well. My heart goes out to Tameka because it seems at every turn; she has gotten the bad end of the stick. Hang in there Tamkea . We all go through trails and tribulations

If there is no one who can perform the duties of a lifeguard, small children should not be in the pool. Why would that woman let the kids swim knowing she couldn't (and didn't) save them if something happened? That's completely negligent.

A five year old should not be in the water by themself, especially if unattended

He's such a cute little boy. I keep hearing the word "tragic" referring to that accident. No one died. There will probably be no sequelae like brain damage or anything that will delay that child's development or even cause lifelong emotional distress. It was awful, terrible and any number of other adjectives but "tragic" just isn't one of them. Thank God.

Adorable kid. Hope it works out with both parents. They probably both need to work on their parenting skills, but they both seem to love their kids. Like a wise man once said; "All you need is Love".

Why in the world does she think it's okay to post photos of her child in the hospital? Isn't anything private any more?

Karen Black was a major star of the '60...'s, '70's and beyond. Your staff shows how out of touch it is when it comes to Hollywood history, and not even reporting her death. Harvey must be on vacation, leaving the clueless tattoo crowd to run things. RIP Karen.

Major f-up TMZ. Maybe you don't know who Karen Black was, but not reporting her death was a major mistake. Harvey must be on vacation. He undoubtedly know as a major star.
