Jameis Winston Accuser

Let Me Be Clear ...

11/22/2013 5:14 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

1121-getty-jameis-winstonThe woman accusing Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston of rape just issued a new statement in response to her detractors -- "To be clear ... THIS WAS RAPE."

The accuser, through her attorney, is taking aim at Winston and his lawyer -- claiming the defense of "consensual sex" is nothing more than "reactive damage control" after Winston's lawyer learned the DNA in her panties matched Jameis.

The statement says, "To be clear, the victim did not consent. This was a rape."

The accuser is also calling BS on Winston's claims that he has multiple witnesses to support his account of consensual sex ... noting that Winston waited for months after the allegation was made before claiming to have witnesses.

"If [Winston's lawyer] had knowledge of witnesses beneficial to Winston back in February 2013, it seems logical that [Winston's lawyer] would have immediately provided those alleged 'exculpatory witnesses' to Detective Angulo.  Theoretically, Detective Angulo would have taken the statements of the alleged 'exculpatory witnesses' at that time. Instead detective Angulo placed the case on 'open inactive' status."

FYI -- the accuser claims the alleged rape took place in December 2012 -- and the investigation was closed in February '13.  The State Attorney has since ordered the case reopened after finally learning about the case last week.

I thought his first defense was he had two friends that said he was with them, now they can verify it was consensual. I am sure she took a polygraph to verify her story. He refused to speak with police, hmmmmm, got a lawyer, hmmm, who is paying for this attorney, football boosters. The police should have pursued this quicker and more thoroughly not have let politics get involved. Let Winston take a polygraph and be interviewed, not just claim, oh 11 months later I have two witnesses. I think he has 6-12 years behind bars in his future.

This site shows a lot of her tweets she even references @fsucleatchasers http://imgur.com/fwdbJQZ
She cheers on the football team even after the incident. One tweet even references an interception by Pitt that was thrown by her alleged attacker.

OK, I have replied to a few of the comments on here but I want to summarize.... You guys do not know what you are talking about. TPD is not in a cover up. They have always been harder on FSU athletes (some warranted and some not). They just arrested a three year starter (Greg Dent) on felony charges this year. Much better than a 4th string QB (this was his status at time of incident) We did not know JW's potential until the spring game (well after the incident) which caused Clint Trickett to transfer. They did not cover up Peter Warrick (Heisman front runner) when they arrested him on felony charges for taking an employee discount at Dillards. It was later lowered to Misdemeanor. So trust me, there is no cover up.... As far as the time frame, etc. stick to the facts, not tabloid news... The witnesses were brought up 11 months ago. This is nothing new. They have always been there and ready to give statement. You read too much TMZ. Also, Winston gave a written statement and was never questioned because there is no need. He did nothing wrong. The reason this was brought back up is because TMZ has crappy investigators and jumped the gun and stole the story from a Tampa reporter. You will see and it will all come out. And for those of you who question why get a lawyer, you get a lawyer when you are accused of something you did not do. More time than not, athletes are falsely accused, not the other way around, so they never get the breaks... Get some common sense before you go accusing...

Really? In the US you have the right to face your accuser in a public court of law before being judged by jury of your peers. A damaging story to both parties for no reason other than to up your page views. Why don't you go pay someone else to manufacture news you don't have? Also, in FL, just so you know, in cases of domestic abuse, the accuser doesn't have a choice about filing charges if there is ANY evidence of an assault. Did the Monica Lewinsky trial not teach you that girls save DNA smeared clothing for a long long time?
