Metta World Peace

BLASTS Boxing Legend

You're 'Bringing Down' Black People!

1/20/2014 5:00 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

meta-floyd-larry-gettyEx-boxing champ Larry Holmes is "BRINGING DOWN" the black community ... all because he went after Floyd Mayweather in public ... so says NBA star Metta World Peace.

Metta's beef stems from Holmes' recent public criticism of Floyd ... when he told Sky Sports Ringside that Mayweather is "crazy" and will irresponsibly blow through his entire multi-million fortune, just like he did.

After reading Larry's quotes, Metta blasted the guy on Twitter ... saying, "Larry Holmes should never call out another product of slave in public."

Peace explained that Larry should be supportive of Floyd because "our community was not fortunate to have finance savvy parents."

"With that said, instead of guys like Larry Holmes bringing down , he should uplift the ghettos."

Metta continued, "People like Larry should be retrieving lost and burnt Black history in Black History books rather than bringing down Black Legends."

He concluded ... "Support and Love is better than hate. Loving your neighbor is better than War... Written by Metta the Hood Hippie."

Are we really going to take advice and take serious a guy who calls himself Metta World Peace? Just another overpaid idiot looking for media attention.

Floyd Mayweather is full of ****, saying burning money is a money maker. In a previous interview ( on either Jim Rome's tv show or Real Sports) he was proud to show a ATM receipt where he has all his money in one account. He should take advice about his money and learn how to really make his money work for him.

Mr. WorldPeace, consider that there is nothing all that loving in self-worship. Don't presume to characterize your opinions, with as much potential for shallowness as anyone else, as defining what a generous mind would provide.
