Emma Watson

Oh, the Places You'll Go!

5/30/2014 6:35 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0529-emma-watson-pcnHere's Emma Watson pissing off tons of recent college grads -- and their parents -- by bucking the trend and getting a job days after getting a diploma.

Emma was smiling as she reported to work on the Toronto set of "Regression" ... a movie she's shooting with Ethan Hawke.

Watson, who graduated from Brown University last weekend, is clearly the most likely to succeed.

NOT-SO-FUN FACT: About 50% of college grads under age 25 are unemployed -- and most of those who do find work ... are doing jobs that don't require degrees anyway.

So I guess since you posted those college grad stats people should avoid furthering their education as evidenced by your grammar challenged staff?!

Most college grads over the age of 25 are doing jobs that are not related to their degree, if they even require a degree. Thanks Obama.

that is the stupidest story yet. She was already a working actress you dumba$$es. Was it necessary to compare her to the many college graduates that hope to get a job after school but find it difficult because of this economy that has no mercy for anyone but the already wealthy?? Good job TMZ.

Bravo, The most honest reporting I've seen all day. But you left out that she's a witch, or at least played one. Keep your kids away from her.

Hmmm...like Harvey? Isn't he an attorney? Working at tmz?? Isn't there another lawyer there too? How sad. No wonder the writers are middle school graduates. No need for a diploma.

This article was written by Captain Obvious. So maybe a degree doesn't do it anymore in this economy. Find something you are good at and passionate about like Emma.

In all fairness - the majority of these college grads graduated with a degree in something like 'art appreciation'. Unless you come from a reaallly rich family, how exactly is an art degree going to help you get a job? Nothing against the arts, it's a great thing to pursue (maybe as a minor) but given the state of the economy, why would you pursue something that you know has few career prospects post-grad?
Time to stop blaming cir***stances/government and realize that so many kids going to college today aren't going to better themselves or make themselves competitive in the job market - but going for a 4+ year party. Just look at vocational schools/community colleges that are about a year or two long and actually train you with a marketable skill - how many of those are unemployed? Hint: no where near the 50% of our 4 year college grads with liberal arts degrees who are graduating thousands of dollars in debt and have no way to pay it back.

GUESS THE BITCH FITS THAT STAT. ACTING DOESNT REQUIRE A DEGREE EITHER. JUST LOOK AT THE CAR-KRASH-IANS... THEY ACT FAKE TOO WITH ZERO DEGREES. TMZ ARE IDIOTS. #TRUTH!!

LAUGHS AT YOU

LOL

I suppose you can also add that most of the unemployed grads have useless degrees paid for by parents or taxpayers. Any degree with "Studies" at the end of it, or of a non-tehnical or non-science nature are useless in the real world...

Hope the parties were worth it...

LOL...

Well, but, to be fair, like many grads she wasn't able to get a job in the actual area of her degree. As an English major, she's qualified to teach or maybe to wait tables. But of course in this economy she's forced to take a job outside her training, acting for millions of dollars instead. Always tragic after so much work put in.

Who ever wrote this article and why Harvey cleared this, not-so-fun-fact: the facts are totally wrong and the media continues to give false information to 20 something's...here is the most current and information kids need to know about an education...idiots for putting untrue facts to your public..http://www.nytimes.com/2014/05/27/upshot/is-college-worth-it-clearly-new-data-say.html?emc=eta1&_r=0
