BOYCOTT BELGIAN WAFFLES

... Says Waffle House!

There's no better way to stick it to Belgium ... than with SYRUP ... so says Waffle House -- which is calling for a full-on boycott of Belgian Waffles in support of Team USA soccer ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Of course, USA is all set to face off with Belgium in the 2nd round of the World Cup tournament on Tuesday in a win-or-go home match ... and Americans are hungry to show their support.

But according to Waffle House -- they should start by staying away from the signature Belgian breakfast item ... with a rep for the All-American restaurant chain telling us, "We support a boycott on Belgian Waffles."

The rep adds, "We support America. We don't support Belgian Waffles."

Instead, WH says Americans should stick to American-style waffles (like the ones served at Waffle House) ... because it's the patriotic thing to do!

Team spirit never tasted so good!

Then you should also avoid eating French fries as those originated in Belgium as well.

yes we can too

Is it just me? Why would you boycot Belgian Waffles if the people selling them are just as American as yourself? So boycotting them would unemploy your own. Us Belgians wouldn't feel the least bit by it. Even other stuff like Belgian beers are most off the time locally brewn... Have fun boycotting ;)

Let's be real

Weak...group of dead. This is the World Cup. Every team is good..ask England and Italy. Algeria would have beaten Portugal and Ghana. Portugal never played up to their level in the group stage and Ghana deserved better against the US. You guys were hanging on for life against Ghana and got lucky with that corner kick.... let's not forget that. You had zero chances vs Germany and were dominated all game long. You will need sloppy play from the Belgians to pull out a win.
Boycotting waffles...gimme a break....

Dumb idea and insutling too.. Doesn't make me want to go to Waffle House. Whoever thought this up as a marketing campaign isn't all that creative. It really doesn't amuse me at all (not offensive though, just stupid).

And then we wonder why the rest of the world hates us Americans. Because most Americans are stupid. That's why.

No problem Waffle House. We Belgians will boycot the American Coca Cola tonight and we'll drink a good Belgian beer instead :-) BTW : What you call Belgian Waffels is a big joke. It doesn't even look like a true Belgian Waffle and I'am sure it doesn't even taste like one either. Let's make a bet. If we loose I'll come and eat 10 of those 'things' you call Belgian Waffle, but if we win (and we will win) you have to serve real Belgian Waffels for 1 month in all your stores. Deal ?
