Conrad Murray and
James DeBarge just got a new friend --
Lenny Dykstra is now held up next to them in the L.A. County Jail's celebrity wing.
Dykstra -- who is serving time for assault with a deadly weapon and lewd conduct -- joins the doctor and the singer in the slammer, and we're told at times it has gotten downright raunchy.
We're told Dykstra sometimes puts a sheet over his head -- for fun -- pokes a hole around the waste area and sticks his "baseball bat" through the hole ... for the amusement of anyone who dares to look.
Debarge's lawyer, Spencer Vodnoy, tells TMZ ... Murray and DeBarge are now best buds, and they make fun of Dykstra and his perverted past-time pleasures.
But all good things must come to an end. DeBarge is getting out in a few days.
Looks like it's time for batting practice, Conrad.
El DeBarge says cops made a huge mistake when they arrested him for drug possession this week ... but he and the rest of his family are EXTREMELY relieved to hear prosecutors won't be pressing charges.
TMZ spoke with Spencer Vodnoy, a lawyer for the DeBarge family, who tells us, "The family said they were relieved to hear that no charges will be filed against El."
He adds, "A the end of the day the truth appears to have prevailed and I am sure he will be getting back to work on his career, his health and happiness."
As we previously reported, El was
arrested in L.A. on Tuesday for coke possession with intent to sell ... but officials later
dropped the case claiming there was not enough evidence to prove the singer did anything wrong.

"Rhythm of the Night" singer
El DeBarge is in the clear after he was arrested for drug possession this week -- because the L.A. County D.A. has declined to file charges.
According to official D.A. documents, the case was rejected due to insufficient evidence.
TMZ broke the story ...
DeBarge was arrested on Tuesday for felony possession of narcotics with intent to sell -- the singer's third drug arrest since 2001.
According to the docs, police officers noticed DeBarge and another man speaking on the street -- and for some reason, decided to search them ... without giving a reason why.
After searching them and coming up with nothing -- cops claim they perused the surrounding area ... and found a baggie of rock cocaine hidden under a nearby car.
The other man insisted he was there to buy the rock from DeBarge -- but DeBarge denied the accusation ... and the D.A. decided there wasn't enough evidence to make the charge stick.

"
Rhythm of the Night" singer
El DeBarge was arrested for drug possession in L.A. yesterday ... and cops believe El may have been trying to deal the junk.
El was popped around 2 PM in Encino, CA ... after LAPD officers observed him participating in what appeared to be a drug deal with another man near the 101 Freeway.
DeBarge was arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to sell. It's the 3rd time El has been arrested for drug possession since 2001.
He was hauled to a nearby jail where he was booked and released on $30k bail. El is due back in court next month.
Fun Fact -- El's brother James is currently serving time behind bars after being arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and drug charges.

In one of the final candid videos of
Whitney Houston, the legendary singer ran into
El Debarge at a nightclub in Hollywood ... and the two shared a very touching embrace.
It went down in the VIP lounge at Tru nightclub on Thursday night. Whitney's daughter,
Bobbi Kristina, can also be seen in the video.
Houston performed with El Debarge back in 1999 during the Soul Train Music Awards tribute to Luther Vandross. They both battled addiction.
Houston was photographed later in the evening leaving the club ... looking worse for wear (
see below).

Houston was found dead today in her hotel room in Beverly Hills. She was 48.
El Debarge says his famous incarcerated brother has a serious beef with jailmate
Conrad Murray ... but El is confident the two can eventually work things out ... if Conrad plays his cards right.
As TMZ first reported, James and Murray
are both being housed in the Administrative Segregation of the L.A. County Men's Jail ... which is awkward since James was
Michael Jackson's brother-in-law back when he was married to Janet Jackson in 1984.
El -- who was leaving Tru nightclub in Hollywood last night -- told us his brother is a very loving man ... but insists James was pissed at Murray over the circumstances regarding MJ's death.
El tells us, "I don't really think they've had a chance to do a one-on-one talk and get an understanding ... I think once they finally do that, it'll be OK."
Still, El warns Conrad that forgiveness won't come easy ... "My brother James, he ain't no joke. My momma didn't raise no punk."
Look for El at the Grammys on Sunday because apparently he still makes music and was actually nominated.
