Eminem Tortures Afgans
With the whole world music library to choose from, tracks by Eminem and Dr. Dre were allegedly chosen as instruments of torture in secret prisons which the U.S. is accused of operating in Afghanistan.
The New York-based Human Rights Watch alleges in a new report that the U.S. operated the prison as recently as last year, and used rap music to "encourage" detainees to divulge information. The report quotes an Ethiopian detainee who says he was kept in a pitch black prison cell and forced to listen to rap music 20 days in a row, before the music was changed to "horrible ghost laughter and Halloween sounds." According to detainees quoted in the report, prisoners were deprived of sleep, chained to walls and forced to listen to the loud music in total darkness.
It was also alleged that coalition forces played music by Metallica to force Iraqi POWs to offer up information. CIA officials reportedly had not comment on the allegations.
