Tyra Gets Another Round
Good news for Tyra! 'The Tyra Banks Show' has been renewed for its second season.
Successful in its first season, 'The Tyra Banks Show' is a one-hour daily talk show focusing on the dreams, hopes and challenges of today's young women. From relationships, family, self-esteem and lifestyle issues to topical news, celebrities and pop culture, Tyra tackles a broad range of material and subjects every day.
Jim Paratore, Executive Vice President, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution and President, Telepictures Productions produces 'The Tyra Banks Show' and says "Tyra has done exactly what we said she would do--create a fresh, advertiser-friendly format that would bring young women back to broadcast in daytime. It's the number one new show with women 18-34 and 18-49 and the perfect alternative to news on the affiliates."
And there's more news from the world of daytime talk, as the all-new daily syndicated talk show 'Dr. Keith Ablow' is set to make its debut on the FOX Television Stations in fall 2006. 'Ablow' is also produced by Telepictures Productions.
Dr. Keith Ablow is a well-regarded psychiatrist, author and television personality who brings his professional and real-life experience to daytime television in this one-hour, daily talk show focusing on the challenges facing families in today's world. 'Dr. Keith Ablow' will help individuals, couples and families cope with the conflicts they face and develop strategies that can help them lead more productive and fulfilling lives. With his practical experience and impeccable credentials, Ablow sets out to provide the insight and solutions the daytime audience is looking for. 'Dr. Phil' is the biggest hit in daytime since 'Oprah,'" said Paratore. "The daytime audience is looking for credible information that can help them better their lives. Dr. Keith will bring a fresh alternative and a different point of view. Everybody needs a second opinion."
Married and the father of two, Ablow holds an undergraduate degree from Brown University and an M.D. from Johns Hopkins Medical School, and has more than 15 years' experience as a practicing psychiatrist, specializing in forensic psychiatry. He has written a number of non-fiction books, six crime-based novels and the New York Times bestseller 'Inside the Mind of Scott Peterson.'
