Alec Baldwin -- Vexatious Litigant?
Kim Basinger wants a Los Angeles judge to contain Alec Baldwin.
In legal papers filed Wednesday, Basinger's lawyer, Neal Hersh, asks that Baldwin be declared a "Vexatious Litigant." If the judge grants the request, Baldwin would have to seek the court's permission before filing any legal papers in his ongoing custody war with his ex-wife.
In the papers, Hersh argues that Baldwin has filed a flurry of legal papers that contain "fabricated renditions of the events and circumstances that have transpired between the parties for the sole purpose of keeping the respondent's name (Baldwin) in the public limelight...
The papers accuse Baldwin of continuing "to misuse the judicial system for his own self-serving reasons."
Baldwin's lawyer, Vicki Greene, says there is no legal or factual basis for declaring her client a vexatious litigant. Greene adds her client is currently proceeding to enforce his legal rights in the custody matter, and those proceedings will go forward.
