The Judge Is Back!

"Judge Mathis" returns for its eighth season (has it been that long?) next Monday with new cases, new litigants and a brand new season of justice. The show has been nominated three straight years for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding TV News, Talk, or Information Series or Special, including a win in 2004.

"Judge Mathis" is presided over by by former Detroit-area District Court Judge Greg Mathis, who made the journey from being behind bars to passing the bar. It's that real-life experience that leads him to believe that rehabilitation is within everyone's reach if they receive the right guidance, which is what he tries to provide.
