6:54 AM PT -- Ken just tweeted TMZ, "We cut that scene from the pilot months ago, I promise you that scene will not air on the pilot." ABC also told us the scene was cut from the show, but it is still airing in the promos.
ABC's new "Dr. Ken" is an affront to plus-sized viewers and must be stopped ... so demands one of the leading obesity awareness groups in the country.
The Obesity Action Coalition has contacted ABC, expressing outrage over snarky comments made by Dr. Ken Jeong from "The Hangover" fame.
Check out the preview clip for the show. The obesity group says jokes like these cause overweight people to sink into deep depression.
The group wants ABC to scrub all fat-shaming jokes from the show, which airs next month.
A rep for ABC tells TMZ even though the scene is still running in previews, it has been cut from the episode set to air.
