Red Hot Chilli Pepper's ex-guitarist John Frusciante is making it loud and clear ... his estranged wife, Nicole, is a struggling musician and he's done footing the bill for her to pursue her dreams.
According to new legal docs filed in their divorce ... John says Nicole's request for $75k/month in spousal support is crazy, especially because $21k of that is just to rent a music studio.
The best part -- John says, "I don't know if you can call her recording efforts a hobby or a past-time ... but it seems improper to characterize Nicole as a professional musician."
Beyond her music habit ... Nicole also wants more than $2,600/month for gifts and expenses for her "adult" brother -- which John finds ridiculous.
