Angie Stone -- VH1 Snubbed Me ... 'The Sequence' Were Hip Hop Pioneers!!

Angie Stone thinks VH1 was flat out wrong for leaving "The Sequence" out of its ceremony celebrating women in hip-hop ... saying her group helped pave the way for countless others.

Stone was out in Atlanta this week with Ed Lover and she let it all out ... saying her 80's girl rap group was anything but a one hit wonder. It's interesting ... Angie says she was at the ceremony in the audience and still got the snub.

You'll remember ... VH1 received some criticism for leaving the group out and celebrating "Salt N Pepa" as the first all girl rap group.
