Donald Trump has announced a national mourning period for Dolly Parton ... ordering American flags to be lowered for one week.

POTUS jumped on Truth Social to pay tribute to Dolly after her sudden death Tuesday ... writing, "There has never been anyone like her, and never will."

Trump then announced that -- beginning at 6 PM Tuesday -- American flags across the country should be lowered to honor her legacy.

The Oscars pissed a bunch of people off this year -- with one person slamming the show for allowing Javier Bardem to hop on stage and say "Free Palestine" ... according to complaints sent to the FCC.

TMZ obtained a copy of the complaints received by the FCC after the Oscars aired back in March ... and one person rips the show apart for Javier's comments he made while presenting Best International Feature with Priyanka Chopra.

ICYMI, he specifically said ... "No to war" and "Free Palestine" when he was on stage to present an award with Chopra. He was also wearing a "No a la guerra" -- AKA "no to war" -- pin alongside another pin expressing support for Palestine.

Jelly Roll called President Trump a fat pig on national television ... and somehow the joke only got more personal from there.

The country star was filling in for Jimmy Kimmel Monday night when he brought up a recent Washington Post report about doctors being concerned over Trump's weight.

Jelly noted Trump is now pushing 240 pounds ... before offering some advice from one big guy to another.

He told Trump ... "From one fat pig to another, take it from me that physical fitness is very important. And trust me, you'll be happy to see your penis again."

Alex Pretti's family says no one has given them the complete truth about his fatal shooting ... and they believe officials spent more time vilifying him than investigating his death.

The 37-year-old ICU nurse's parents told "Good Morning America" Tuesday they're speaking out now because they want justice and accountability -- seven months after two federal immigration officers shot and killed him in Minneapolis.

Alex's father, Michael, says the videos speak for themselves ... but the family still wants all the facts.

His mother, Susan, added ... "My shock is that he was murdered and no one has given us the complete truth or anyone has been held accountable."

The WNBA has no plans to ban former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom from coming to games as a fan ... even though he was ejected from a Chicago Sky game after a heated exchange with Natasha Cloud.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... the plan inside the league is to try and move on and let the controversy die. We're told the league felt a ban wasn't warranted because Enes didn't set foot on the court and he didn't do anything else that was egregious.

As TMZ reported ... Natasha was livid with Enes -- who was wearing a black shirt that read "woman noun adult human female" -- when they started jawing during the third quarter Sunday as he sat near the court.

Ivanka Trump hit the waves during a family getaway in Costa Rica ... showing off some pretty solid surf skills ... and hanging ten.

The former White House adviser was spotted surfing Sunday ... rocking a white long-sleeve top and black bottoms as she caught a few waves on her soft-top longboard.

Ivanka looked steady on the board ... keeping her balance through the whitewater ... and even throwing up a shaka at one point.

Sean Grayson, the former Illinois sheriff's deputy convicted in the fatal shooting of Sonya Massey, has died.

Grayson's attorney, Daniel Fultz, tells TMZ Sean died around noon Sunday Central Time. Fultz declined to provide any additional details. Sources close to the situation tell us the root cause of death was colon cancer.

Grayson was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer in 2023. His attorneys later said the disease had progressed to Stage 4 and spread to his liver, lungs and rectum. In July, the Illinois Prisoner Review Board denied Grayson's request for medical release.

Melania Trump and Natalie Harp were in very close quarters Sunday ... as both watched the Freedom 250 IndyCar race with President Trump nearby.

Video from the race shows Melania seated right next to POTUS ... while Harp was sitting just a few feet behind the First Couple.

POTUS dropped the claim during his full WABC interview with former fixer-turned-foe-turned-friend Michael Cohen Sunday ... but didn't identify who he was talking about or offer evidence to support it.

Trump said, "We had many suicides, people committed suicide over this" ... before blaming what he called vicious people in the Biden administration -- and taking a swipe at Barack Obama's administration, too.

The president joined FOX Sports at Sunday's Freedom 250 Grand Prix in D.C., where he took plenty of credit for bringing the race to the nation's capital.

Trump said longtime friend and IndyCar owner Roger Penske told him they'd been trying to make a D.C. race happen for 20 years -- even making more than 200 trips to Washington in the process.

The trans athlete controversy Sophie Cunningham thrust back into the spotlight spilled into the streets of Brooklyn Saturday ... with rival demonstrations gathering outside Barclays Center ahead of the Fever’s matchup against the New York Liberty.

A group of about 60 supporters came out in defense of Cunningham, while more than 100 trans-rights advocates rallied nearby. NYPD officers and metal barricades divided the crowds as fans headed into the arena.

The Cunningham-focused rally was organized by Liberty fan Dr. Elizabeth Fedak, following the Fever guard’s recent remarks about transgender participation in women’s sports.
