Police Raids Over Jolie-Pitt Baby Shower

6/29/2006 4:45 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

TMZ has learned the FBI and Massachusetts authorities raided a Westfield, Mass. home Tuesday night and seized photos of a baby shower held by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

It's a bizarre story that starts in Namibia, where the shower was thrown. James Haven, Jolie's brother, took a number of pictures in Namibia. When he returned to L.A., his camera broke so he took it to Best Buy where the camera was purchased, and asked them to fix it under the warranty. Best Buy sent the camera to Precision Camera and Video Repair in Enfield, Connecticut.

Sources tell TMZ that two employees at Precision, Bill Keyes and Adam Beckwith, discovered the pictures in the digital camera. We're told that Keyes told authorities that Beckwith downloaded the photos.

Keyes mother, Madelon, told TMZ that her 36-year-old son was excited, showed her the pictures and sent an email to someone in California. Sources say the email may have been an attempt to sell the photos. Madelon Keyes told TMZ, "I don't think he would do something like that."

A sergeant from the Westfield Police Department confirmed with TMZ that authorities searched Keyes' home and seized his computer. The sergeant also said a search warrant was executed at Precision Camera and Video Repair and the actual camera that took the pictures was also seized.

The sergeant said neither Keyes nor Beckwith were arrested and that the case is in the hands of the LA County District Attorney. The sergeant says neither man violated Massachusetts law, but California laws are different.

Danielle Friedland of Celebrity Baby Blog tells TMZ that she received an email last week with sample photos attached, "to see what these photos may be worth." One of the of the images was on her blog. After some consideration, however, Danielle removed the images, believing the photos may have been illegally obtained.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney had no comment because the investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed.

We could not reach Bill Keyes or Adam Beckwith for comment.

John Malinosky, President of Precision Camera and Video Repair said he was unaware of the search and "We have absolutely no knowledge of this."

TMZ placed a call to Lavely & Singer, Pitt and Jolie's lawyers, but it was not returned.

The general consensus seems to be that it is a terrible waste of tax money to
send the FBI on this stupid hunt for Brad and Angelina's stolen photos. I agree!
I also think that the media needs to concentrate more on issues like what's
going on in Iraq and Afganistan... or, and here's a concept, what are we doing
to help pay for the fight against drugs, gangs, violent crime (all connected, by the
way) in this country. Oh, no, we're more worried about pictures of a baby because
it belongs to Angelina and Brad. Fix the media and we go a long way to fixing
some of the problems we have here. Don't give these people press and the
folks at home will soon forget who the hell they are!

Oh, so its OK to sell if U sell your babies photos. . . . The 2 of them are just gross now. They have lost all coolness factor. They go to Namibia because the gov't became their little puppets and allowed them to act like King and Queen. Brad and Angie, GO BACK! ! !

You people can be so cruel. The FBI is a very large number of agents and I'm sure not all of them was put on this case, which leaves alot of them to deal with the bad stuff your saying they should be doing. I am sure that you wouldn't want your private baby shower pictures sold and publicized. We all need to stop and think that celebrities or not, they are doing the job that makes them happy and also makes them famous, whether they want it or not. They are entitled to their privacy and don't get much of it. We, as the fans and non famous people make them the way they are because of all the fawning and buying people magazine to desperately see those publized pictures.

I tell you this is a joke and everyone knows that. Woohoo 2 guys got some pictures of Jolie and Pitts babyshower. Well darn I guess its a crime to have magazines of all the celebrities in them that we buy everyday in the stores too because that is pictures of them isn't it. I don't feel we should be putting our tax dollar to the FBI over pictures that were in a camera in the first place. I know when you go to a store like Best Buy they ask you if there are any photos on there that you would like to have before sending it off to get fixed. The only person at fault is Jolie's brother who allowed those pictures to be in that camera. Isn't that why we have memory cards for the camera's too. Money and law suits that is all those 2 like about don't you think. There forever in the magazines about breaking up, getting back together, getting married and having a baby. What is going to be next with those 2 because someone could write a book on those 2 and I bet that it would sell good telling their life stories since it is always in the magazines as it is. I truely think that the FBI should be more involved and trying to find the missing children and the disasters in the country we live in now and not be all involved in a stupid pictures no one really cares about. That is were our tax dollars should be going to seriously. No wonder our country is so messed up.

I commend the Federal Bureau of Investigation on doing there job. It would have been easy for them to say Hey these people are famous they don't need us to pursue this matter. But they didn't. They were true professionals. I truly respect that because from so many of the comments on the board it appears if you were working for the FBI or your local police you would just push it to the side if you didn't think the person was worthy.

So when did this article become an article on where they adopt their children from. For me it doesn't matter. If I am that interested in the children in the U.S. then it is up to me to adopt or even apply to become a Foster Person.

Celebrities owe us nothing. The government owes us a lot.

CJ, much respect and prayer to all of you that were affected by Katrina. I personally felt that the government failed you.

Thanks also for being fair and realizing that celebrities did not owe you anything. I too am displeased at the funds being spent for those who are here illegally and feel that the funds can go a long way in taking care of those who are here legally.

I guess we all have our gripes.

Thank you Nola. All of you who are defaming the FBI really should put your jealous feelings aside and focus on the identity theft issue. When someone steals from you to profit they have violated your rights. For those who are in concern of the lack of FBI involvement on terrosist, missing children, and our government, vote and volunteer. If you can use the same amount of energy on the Jolie/Pitt stories you can do the same for your rights.

I can't believe I wasted my time reading this tripe. 99.9% of you can't put a complete, coherent sentence together, let alone spell. Who gives a crap what happened to those photos? Not I. It's just another baby. I wish they'd both go back to Namibia and live there (without the paparazzi following them), because they're not newsworthy. Can't believe, either, that anyone gives a darn what they're doing every minute of every day !!! You'd be much better off learning how to spell and write, so you wouldn't pi** people off so much. The word is either "They're" or "there" - not "thier", whichever one of you morons wrote it that way for both usages. Go back and see if it was YOU !!! Do something valuable with your time. We don't need any more $$$ poured into America. Let those lazy asses get OFF their butts and go to work. You don't need to be subsidized by ANYONE - least of all, ME. I raised my family without welfare; so can you. And don't mention Katrina again !! Those low-lifes took all the handouts and screwed all you dummies over and over and over again !!!!!!!!
