Paulina Rubio Pulls a Woody Harrelson

9/21/2006 6:50 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Mexican pop star Paulina Rubio is used to being photographed for her hot body. But it was her hot temper that is the star of this video.

Paulina was at Miami International Airport last week when a paparazzo followed the hottie around the terminal.

Rubio was apparently not feeling the love because she unleashed her rage on the photog by hitting his camera and repeatedly saying "déjame," which translates to 'leave me alone' in English.

With the added security measures in place at most airports, it looks like Paulina is more dangerous than any carry-on liquid.

A rep for Paulina told TMZ, "Paulina understands and respects the roll of paparazzi in the media and in the entertainment business. And Paulina will always make an effort to give them the photo opportunity they seek. There are certain times when circumstances do not permit this. There are also times when the aggression of the paparazzi is intimidating and overwhelming. Unfortunately, there are no laws that protect the privacy of a celebrity in a public place.

The aggression at the Miami airport...was so intense that it became a terrifying situation where Paulina was actually overpowered and injured by a photographer in an effort to get the photo.

We would welcome a dialogue with the media and the paparazzi in an effort to try to define some clearer guidelines for acceptable tactics and behavior.

In the future, we will make extra effort to ensure the safety of our client."

Got that?

i wonder what would happen if we, the consumers, didn't buy the tabloids or even paid attention to when the paparazzi push the stars over the edge like that. ppl do deserve some sense of privacy and personal space, i don't care WHO they are. sure, outside of their jobs, stars lives may be all boring and plain like our's, but isn't that what makes them so cool in the first place? you know ppl, who took the talents God gave them and did what they could to make their lives better, living the American Dream? i give them mad props for making it and aspire to do the same, BUT i don't care to see them spinning out of control and being pushed to the edge like this. so media, back off and let them breathe!

Good for Paulina. The paparazzi embody everything that is wrong with modern society; the fact that anybody cares about what a singer or an actress is doing during her own free time in the middle of the day is absolutely absurd, useless, counterproductive, and an absolute waste of time and money.

I personally don't like a lot of celebrities, but even for those I hate, I still think it's stupid to have a throng of photographers follow them around and hurl really personal questions at them. Don't these people have anything better to do with their lives?

No one should care about exactly what some celebutante is wearing on a Tuesday afternoon when she goes to the grocery store. Kudos to Paulina for sticking up for herself and her privacy. And if you don't care about her privacy, you also shouldn't care about getting lame pictures of her; either way, just leave her and everyone else alone. We'll all be better off for it.
