Celebrity Feuds
Hugh Bastard! Grant Flips Out on Photog

Hugh Grant was caught taking out his aggression on a pap in London on Tuesday.

Apparently fed up with photographers documenting his every move, the 46-year-old British actor threw an unidentified object and unleashed his stellar kicking skills on one of the paps outside his London home. Not exactly the best way to stop your photo from being taken!

We all know that being a celeb can be tough, but next time, Hugh should try demonstrating some better sense and sensibility.

16. He should be happy anyone is even taking a picture of him. He is an over rated B actor.

17. I believe that unidentified object is a meal from ZoneChefs.com they deliver weekly (frozen) or daily (fresh) in some locations including Hollywood... packs are left at your front door by, i could see that Hugh having come back from a run could have easily reach down and grabbed this - the packages typically include a freezer pack, but those things are pretty solid and could cause damage so maybe the meal was the right choice. Looks like Hugh is trying to keep the weight down

19. If Hugh Grant doesn't want his picture taken, why doesn't he just get out of show business?? Or how about a disguise(like Michael Jackson does for his kids). That's the price you pay, Hugh, for fame and fortune. Personally. I don't know why Paparazzi would bother with someone like Hugh. He's not Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise....

24. One day, one of these guys is going to be seriously injured by this piece of Euro-trash. Then he can write a check for half of his income just because he didn't want his picture taken. Honestly, who gives a damn about Hugh Grant anyway. He's not handsome and young anymore. If anything, he should be protesting that they use a filtered lens when they photograph him!

Do a hit movie Hugh and then maybe someone will care. Now these guys are just hanging around waiting for you to turn one of them into an instant millionaire. Sean Penn gave this crap up at 30!

26. anyone has the right in a public area to snap off shots from a camera. im sick of the double standard the law is the law lock that man up. anyone else would be in jail, even if the camera man didnt press charges. its a breach of peace. you cant proceed to kick somebody . you dont like the photo's? give your money , fame to charity, and get lost so we dont have to see your face anymore.once hugh picked up a weapon it became a felony. and to proceed to kick somebody? what a loser this guy is . these rich hollywood pricks are out of control. move to the mountains if you have to assault others because of your fame!

27. The talkback on this event seems to fall into a few narrow, distilled camps, some disparaging Mr. G's career, some indignant at the kick to the paparazzi shinbone, a few others sprinkled in between.

Never in life did I believe I'd be doing this, but I'm going to pitch my tent entirely on the side of Mr. Grant.

If you've ever been on stage or on camera, you are probably already appreciative of Mr. G's skills. He's got a finely honed presence and is ageing well, I should be so fortunate. For those in the tous sauf Grant camp, perhaps you should try getting up on your own hind legs in the theater or in front of a camera yourself, see how you fare. And there's also a small matter of business and money to be attended to. Best of luck. Mr. G has done well on both counts, power to him.

Well sure there's been an indiscretion here or there, by all means feel free to cast the first stone.

In this specific incident, Mr. G was leaving his own property for maybe a walk in the park, to pick up a bottle of vino or a fresh screenplay or whatever happened to be on his mind at the time, and some fool with a camera and zero courtesy was standing ready. Did the pap say hello? Ask if Mr. G would be so kind? I doubt it.

All in all, I think Mr. G's reaction was pretty mild in light of the fact that he was obviously being stalked. In fact, I'm pleased with his restraint, a solid kick to the shins hurts like hell but does no real damage.

Well done, carry on.

Kind regards,
Erehwon
