Dog and Beth to Paris Haters -- You're Full of It!

You might think that Dog and Beth Chapman -- the toughest, hardest bounty hunters around -- might take a tough stance against Paris Hilton's early release. Think again!
Dog and Beth Chapman support Paris
The Chapmans, who spoke exclusively to TMZ late last night, have both spent a little time in jails themselves and think that Paris has already been punished enough for what they call a "traffic offense" -- and they have just one question for all those outraged observers: Have you ever spent even an hour in jail?

Dog, star of A&E's "Dog the Bounty Hunter," says he gave serious thought to making a very unusual plea to the judge in Paris' case after hearing of the 45-day sentence. "I was going to offer to do the 45 days for her," he says. "And if anyone hates jail, my brother, it's Dog Chapman." Dog's prescription for punishing Paris? Putting Paris under "Dog Arrest" and having Beth give Paris a stern talking-to about drinking, driving and life.

Beth tells us that in her 20 years in the bail bonds biz, she's never seen anyone who committed Paris' crime -- which she calls essentially a "traffic offense" -- get such a stiff sentence. "That L.A. City Attorney [Rocky Delgadillo] is a joke. Three days in isolation for a person like Paris is more than enough. What you can't do is waste taxpayer money so a bunch of people can get their rocks off."

16. Drunk driving is NOT a traffic offense. Paris should do her time as ordered by the court. The sheriff should NOT have the power to reverse a court's decision. This really is a travesty of justice. People die EVERY DAY because of drunk drivers. It's a VERY serious offense. Remember Katie Flynn.

17. Look at some of the manhunts those two have been on...for very shakey cases involving very minor crimes.

What ????!!!!. Let's be real here, first offence DUI in Virginia is 20 days jail, usually with all but 5 suspended, that is MANDATORY. with 18 months probation, now lets remember its the probation she is going to jail for, not the DUI.

And not once, but TWICE did she very publicly flaunt her probation by driving while suspended for the DUI.

19. I don't have any desire to see Paris Hilton suffer but she did drive under the influence. I saw a show on Oprah where a little girl was beheaded because of a drunk driver. Driving under the influence should be seen as a serious crime.
I also don't doubt that jail is just a horror, it's one of my fears to be falsely incarcerated. I think that everyone should be treated the same because there are some poor girls out there who do not have the family support or financial means to hire a top notch lawyer or psychiatrist and they are in their cell scared out of their minds and forced to bunk with the general population. I think it is cruel that Paris' life seems to be of more value and should be given greater consideration. It's an awful message we're sending to those kids who were not born into a family of wealth.
Dog, I am disappointed. Stick with the underdogs.

20. Mind you own damn business; especially you, Beth. You and you're "posse" cannot save America, or the World for that matter. Stick to the "tweaked-out Hawaiians" and we'll all be better off. Paris...... GO straight back to jail and "do not collect $200."

21. She was sentenced for violating probation!! End of story. If she gets away with it, then everyone can!

22. As a canadian, I don't know who these two people are, but they are clearly criminals who want to support another criminal. It's like a real mafia for the rich and famous. Paris Hilton is truly irresponsible, she deserves to go back in jail... and stay there for 40 days, not 20!!!

23. I don't know the law in California but in Missouri you do get jail time for dui and then driving while your license is suspended for the dui.

Poor Paris - PLEASE!

24. Paris OUT OF JAIL. WHAT A JOKE. THERE'S PLENTY OF PEOPLE IN JAIL WHO CAN'T DEAL WITH IT. CELEBRITY RULES THE LAW. I GUESS HER FRIENDS WHO ARE WAITING TRAILS , WILL PROBABLY GET A N ANKLE BRACELET TOO. IN THAT CASE OVER CROWDED JAILS SEND EVERYBODY HOME WITH ANKLE BRACELET. IT WOUL BE CHEAPER FOR THE STATE, AND CITY. lIKE IT'S ALWAYS BEEN SAID . MONEY AND FAME TALK ; AND THE POOR OR NORM GROUP OF PEOPLE GETS THE BAD END OF THE STICK. WHAT EXAMPLE SHE DISPLAYING? YOU DO THE CRIME , YOU DO THE TIME.

25. Dog is a moron. Someone should send him back to the Dog House and Paris back to the Big House.

26. It was a rediculous sentance in the first place. Glad she's out, and hope she stays out. Public need to leave her alone. Tired of pundits and media bashing this girl. She's a human being.

27. Pathetic people that have no interest other than seeing someone fall and be raked over the coals. You feigned outrage is quite obvious. You don't like Paris Hilton because she is Paris Hilton. As her Aunt said where was the outrage for the woman in a similar incident who spent 2 hours of her sentence in jail. You are nothing more than catty haters and I feel sorry for you all. I wouldn't want to be consumed with that kind of poison. By the way, why you take a fraction of that so called "outrage" and apply to the 3,500 and counting dead American soldiers who continue to die every day for a senseless war that is end the lives and maiming many of your peers on a daily basis. Any outrage there? And by the way, I'm sure none of you have ever engaged in any questionable behavior and decisions in your stellar lives, right? Paris Hilton is not above the law and her sentence was not about DUI. That matter was settled. It was for a parole violation driving on a suspended license. People do not serve 40 day sentences for such. Get over yourselves and get a life.

28. She is not in jail for the DUI but for the suspended license. Having her sit in jail and waste money is stupid. Have her pay a large sum of money to MADD or something useful and then have her do community service. Just having her sit in jail and disrupt the entire jail system doesn't benefit anyone.

29. Hey Iowa Boy, the standard is that if you violate your probation you go to jail. She recieved 36 months probation and should be in jail for the remainder of that time.

30. Gawd; What some people will do just to keep their name in the media. Dog should just keep putting people in jail and leave the justice system to sort it all out. A Better Story to keep their name in the media would read: " Beth Gets a Breast reduction and donates all that fat to Moran Beef to mix in with their tainted Beef"
