Childhood friends Jessica Simpson and Lane Garrison had lunch together Friday afternoon -- but when it came time to leave, Jessica stayed a few steps behind ... avoiding a photo?
The pals dined at Senor Fred, a trendy Mexican restaurant in glamorous Sherman Oaks. Lane and Jess go way back -- Jessica's dad was Lane's family minister and he even lived with the Simpson clan for almost a year.
Last month, Garrison plead guilty to one count of vehicular manslaughter, one count of felony DUI with bodily injury and one misdemeanor count of providing alcohol to a minor. His sentencing is scheduled for August 2 and he faces five years and eight months in prison.
Let's hope they talked about lighter subject over lunch.

I guess Papa Joe is a bad leader look wear he ended up. Look at his two daughters, not in a good spot at all, so to say Papa Joe was his mentor is not saying much at all.
Jessica is so desperate, to sit and wait on JM like she does, Papa did not teach her to respect her self. This guy out drinking with teens thats horrible. Papa Joe is not a good leader.
