Who knew there were so many DeBarges in trouble with the law?! TMZ has learned younger brother Jonathan Arthur "Chico" DeBarge was busted on August 30 for allegedly having illegal drugs and cash in his car. Who's holding Donna now?!?



In the police report, cops say DeBarge and a female companion were driving a Toyota Camry on a Los Angeles highway when an officer observed them stop in a turn lane and switch seats. When they were pulled over by California Highway Patrol, cops say "illegal drugs and cash" were found in the car.

Chico, who once recorded a song called "Soopaman Lover," is being held on $30,000 bail.

Police arrested Chico's older brother El DeBarge for outstanding warrants on August 26 -- just four days before his brother! As of today, he's still in el slammer.

Gettin' the band back together!

1. who in the hell sits out in front the DeBarges home and wait for them to do somehing.. in that case will someone plz check up on the cast of Good Times ( How's Thelma) the cast of the Cosby Show ( Damn Theo where R U). and the cast of A Different World... they are definately more interesting than the Debarge crew..

Come on TMZ is business that slow....we really don't care about them... how many songs did they make...

3. Chico did 10yrs for drugs, came out priduced two albums (which I actually liked) that didn't go anywhere. Shame he is really talented. One of the songs talks about being on the highway with "work" in the trunk. Life imitating art.

14. There are 10 DeBarge children. I went to high school with Chico. Actually, back in the day they were all nice guys until they got a little fame and money then they turned into drug addicts and #11....the drugs started a looooong time ago not just since they aren't in the limelight.
