Kiefer Could Face Bigtime Jail Time

9/25/2007 3:09 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Keifer SutherlandKiefer Sutherland is in deep you-know-what.

In November, 2004, Kiefer was popped for driving with a .22 blood alcohol level, and plead no contest to drunk driving. He was placed on 5 years probation. That means if he's convicted on this morning's DUI, he will have violated his probation.

Now here's where the news gets worse: Guess who the judge was in the 2004 case? That would be Judge Michael Sauer, the guy who threw the book at Paris Hilton for violating her probation. And remember, Paris was not drunk when she was driving on a suspended license -- and she was sentenced to 45 days in jail!

Stay tuned.

OK DUI is a TRAP LAW ...

The State of Cali says it is legal to drink and drive but don't hit.08 or over...

ok fine.. but HOW DO YOU KNOW WHEN YOU ARE AT POINT .08????

I know if the speed limit is 65 and all I have to do is look at the speedomiter... and if I am driving 75 then I am breaking the law..

If I walk into a store and grab some batteries walk out with out paying I am stealing...

how many drinks does it take to hit .08 for me or you??? Don't know everyone is different depends on my body weight, how much I have had to eat, my body chemistry.. what % of liquor I have had to drink... and many other factors

SO before you start passing judgement on any with a DUI go out have a few drinks drive .. infact drive thru a check point... state says it is legal to drink and drive as long as you don't hit that magic .08 see if you feel confident you will not get a DUI with all the factors I have listed above... and you have only had say 2 glasses of wine for dinner.... are you DUI... play some simon says with the cop with all the flashing lights on the side of a busy roadway.. then blow into a mechine that is primative and only gives an estimation of your breath... not an exact figure... but the cops can still arrest you...

the USA needs a zero tolerance law for DUI then it is clear cut and dry...

OH BTW for a first time DUI offence... you are not intitled to a Jury trial.... wait the consitution of the USA grants everyone a right to a trial of your piers right??? NOPE not with a DUI since the sentence in most states for a first time offence is 6 months or less in jail... that sentence is not severe enough to grant you a jury trial even though the USA constitution says it is your right as a USA citizen..... so know you can go to jail for failing a field sobriety test (that BTW you should NEVER AGREE TO DO IT"S NOT PUNISHABLE TO REFUSE IT) and blowing into a mechine that estimates you BAC....

again go out have a few drinks and check where your next local check point is or better yet find a cop tell him you have only had a few drinks but you want to be tested to see if you are DUI... I am sure you will pass the tests they give you...

good luck

2. Kiefer will shine in court because he is the most sincere person in the world. Being an alcoholic isn't a crime. It's driving under the influence that is. Hopefully, Kiefer will now hire a "keeper". He really needs a driver. I hope and pray that Judge Sauer keeps in mind that alcoholoism isn't a crime. Officer Kevin Mailberger could have used the "spirit" of the law and had Keifer call someone to pick him up. Officer Mailberger would have really been a hero. I have seen officers use the spirit of the law many times and have the person call someone to pick them up. Unless....someone gave LAPD the tip that Kiefer was under the influence. Strange, that Friday he was suppose to be the Guest Speaker....UHMMMMMM. There is a lot of politics at LAPD....
Could it have been a set up????? Believe me! I have seen so much corruption there! You have got to ask yourself. Was it a setup??????
I know Kiefer was D.U.I and maybe it was his time to get busted but isn't strange timing???????????????? You really have to know how these cops think! How far did he drive before he got busted from the watering hole????? I would certainly look in to this!
