Tina Turner's rep issued the following statement about the death of the music legend's former husband Ike.
"Tina is aware that Ike passed away earlier today," the rep told TMZ. "She has not had any contact with him in 35 years. No further comment will be made."
Simply the best.

Ike Turner is gone, but from 1993 thru his last day 12/12/2007, he remained a "straight man" was on stage when he saw a skit on him & Tina & told the actor that "At least he didn't have him beat up in a car like Larry Fishburne Did." However there were things that Ike didn't do in that movie & said so. Some say he put art into wife beating & beat up Tina like Joan Crawford beat up her adopted daughter Christina. Phrases like "We'll be on top of the subject like Ike on Tina!" The closest good fight scene next to Ike & Tina was a Popeye episode where Bluto tries to kill off The Spinach supply & tries to finish Popeye off. To me it reminded of Ike beating up Tina. Another reminder is "Beetle Bailey" when Sarge beats up Pvt. Bailey & he's looks flattended out. Is that what Ike used to do with Tina? Also another round was The Powerpuff Girls taking on The Rowdyrough Boys and it was Three Ikes Vs. Three Tinas. Ike like Joan Crawford left a legacy & both players had good merits & bad merits & I hope there together in the afterlife talking about there Tinas.
